Had a wonderful time as always. First and foremost huge thanks to Kenny and Lydia for hosting the M&G there is no better place for this family to come together. Thanks so much for sharing the barn with us. Thanks John and all those that pitched in during to meals. Food was top shelf as always. Only thing better than the food was the company.

Thanks to those that made the work day. Was nice seeing a full truckload of trash being hauled away. 26 volunteers and you guys rocked it.

You guys continue to show why onsc is so special. Can't wait to see you guys again.

And a massive thanks to Izzy. Thanks so much for taking the time to teach the hi-lift class. Very informative and a lot of fun as well

Many thanks Again...to Kenny and Lydia, to the cooks, to the cleaners, to the friends,.... to the forest for all the wood we burn. I have such a great time with everyone at the barn. I truly look forward to these times and feel blessed to have such great friends. Thank you all

I really wanted to attend, but numerous issues conspired against me. H8 that I missed this one.

Here are some photos I took this weekend.

Wish I could have made it. Looks like a great time, even with that white sand covering everything this morning

So glad you got a pic of all the trucks in the snow! For some reason I only took one video and no photos this whole weekend. I do have to say a break from staring at a cellphone was great.

Food, fun, charitable work and great people. My back was sore from all the trash we picked up. Nothing as interesting as the last big trash pick up though.

Deep thoughts while collecting trash:

- it's almost all bottles and cans.
- it's cheap beer mostly
- if they put a deposit (5cents) on bottles and cans like they do up north this problem disappears.
- I found a Nehi bottle and Ryan found a bud can from the 80s and I realized that this was an old damn problem.
- 5 empty quart bottles of oil. All together in one spot by the creek. What kind of special a****** would do that?

Anyway, I digress. I had a great time, big thanks to everyone that does their best to make this event run smoothly. I can't thank you enough!!

I'll leave you with this. Since it's Seared into my memory: John Vee motions his greasy hand toward me with a piece of meat pulled from behind the pigs eye and says 'want some head?'... he then put it in his mouth and literally collapsed off the log stool claiming it was the best thing he's ever put in his mouth.

Luke, @k4azy's son, found a GoPro Session out on the trail. Sometimes it pays in other ways to do workdays.

BTW, if anyone is missing a knife contact me immediately. If you can identify it, I'll mail it to you. This is a NICE knife and I want to get it back to the owner ASAP.

. . . . I'll leave you with this. Good stuff, James! I too got to eat some pig cheek from John - a first for me, but I always wanted to be Anthony Bourdain, so "when in NC."

and . . .

I want to echo Eric's thank-you's above to all, as I can't say it better. I do want to add a Thank you to Eric and Stacy for serving us on Saturday. Our whole family enjoyed the day!

he offered me some head too. It was amazing. But when Stacy heard about it I was told no kisses for a week. Lmao

Had an absolute blast as always at this event :D

Thank you to @JohnVee and @lumbee1 for organizing the food! Thanks as well to everyone who brought items for the pot-luck!!!

We had an enormous number of people come out for the workday, 25 people to be exact!! We spent the day working on Dickie Bell, the ONSC sponsored trail, cutting back brush and fallen trees, picking up trash and fixing fencing. As usual, a depressing amount of fencing had been pulled down either at the tail end of last season or during when the trails were closed. Regardless, we spent time to fix what we could and make a list of tools to bring for next time to get more done.

We had a raffle and a @jfz80 won the GoPro!! Looking forward to your videos bro, congrats!! Kurt won the Trasharoo, congrats!!! :)

Kenny and Lydia, as always, thank you!! Wouldn't be possible without you. @alk747triodad

I don't know that I'll ever see snow at the barn again, so I made sure we got plenty of pics. Kenny said that this was only the second time he'd ever seen snow while at the barn.

As usual, kitchen duties kept me from spending enough time with the ONSC family. No big deal...you put up with me enough here on the forum! I'll simply use this post to express gratitude, hoping I don't leave anybody out (but Friday nights' insomnia means I probably will - don't take it personally).

This was a great weekend for me although my start to it was needlessly delayed. Didn't get to the barn until 5:30pm. Thanks to everybody who helped me unpack and set up before darkness fell.

@lumbee1 was a huge help with the pig. He's been alongside me for the pig prep the last couple of cooks and pretty much took that part over this time. Having both his eyes and mine on the cooker all day allowed me to actually relax and hang out with more people than normal on Saturday. I still had to miss all but the first 10 minutes of Izzy's HiLift class, though.

A giant thanks to @erymer and @blue98stang, along with Ted & Courtney, who volunteered to handle the chow line for the trail workers in the forest. This was the first time we've done this for our crew so I hope y'all were happy with it. I was glad that the weather was conducive to stew - I was really stressing getting an 80*F day with our weird weather this year! PLEASE give us some ideas to do this again next time. We'd love to keep our people happy considering what they're doing.

@alk747triodad (Kenny) & Lydia still deserve the largest thanks, as usual, for opening their property and themselves to us once again. They've never met a stranger. Great people. Thank you so much. Sarah and I love hanging with you guys every chance we get and are thrilled that you make time for us among all the other guests. It's getting hard to come up with new ways to tell you that we all appreciate EVERYTHING you do for this club.

@angerhater is REO Speedwagon. He keeps the fires burning. BTW that might be the dumbest thing I've posted here. Sorry, Shaun, but at least I know you'll get the reference.

I'm not sure who was on the wood cutting crew this time except for @erymer and maybe @SeanLX. Great job - the log pile is getting smaller.

Lastly, thanks to the people who rocked the kitchen clean up after dinner (I was too exhausted to notice, so sorry), @GLTHFJ60 and @Fort Knox and @forrest5000 and @fourtrax for BOD duties and raffle stuff, @FJinTegaCay for evening grill duties, @Izzyandsue for not charging his day job consulting fee for the HiLift class, the trail work crew, all the members who brought someone new, all the new people who came on their own, @NC LX for having a super cool truck tent setup, anybody who loaned out extra cold weather gear to those who needed it, and each person who came out for either a few hours or a few days. Phew! See you all in September.

EDIT: Additional thanks to everybody who provided food. And to @weejub for the assortment box of actual Kansas City BBQ sauces!

^^What El Presidente said!
We had a great time seeing old friends and meeting all the new members. Thank you everyone for making this a wonderful event. The snow Sunday morning was the icing on the cake.
I know there are more pics so post them up. Here is a few I and random people took with my phone

Does it say Evarts

Sorry, posted too soon... does the knife say "Evarts HS Wildcats" or something similar? Luc may have found a go-pro but he misplaced his knife.
No it doesn't. It is all black and the owner should be able to easily identify it.
