Those are about my favorite tires out right now. Love how much grip they have on the sidewall. Looking good!

Stopped for lunch.

Nice. Governor or Yankee Boy Basin is my guess.

I might be completely off after looking at my pics.

Here is one from last week at Yankee Boy Basin.

I agree it does look awesome. Had not seen that Mod before. Getting ready to order parts to do this with the adapter that you put in the pipe. Any suggestions?

for those confused.....

Speaking of confused, I thought that water entered the engine at the top and went out the thermostat at the bottom. It looks like most people are monitoring the water coming in the engine. Or am I backwards?

@2fpower from my reading the water comes in at the thermostat and exits up there at the water pipe. So you would get your most accurate reading from there. You do not need to order an adapter, you can tap straight into the water pipe as I did. In fact there is a nice flat spot up there that looks like it was made for this. It turns out really clean. If you really want to splice into your rubber hose I may have one of those adapters you linked to, I can check tomorrow. I had ordered one and decided not to use it, it probably ended up in my spare parts bin.

Very good. I will order the gauges first then decide about the adapter.

Thanks,

I love this mod....but some part of my mind keeps echoing the thought..."do you really want to start nerding out on engine temps?" Most likely, yes, I do....

Yes you do, its so nice to actually know what's going on in there. Pretty cheap peace of mind if you ask me.

During the trip over the continental divide, my temp gauge on the car was dead middle. supercharger was awesome. I was doing 65-70mph all the way up to the top of the mountain. Perfect temps, so I thought. Turned on my Bluetooth deal on the OBII port and I was at 217 degrees.

I have no faith in the gauges now.

My ultra gauge saved my lx last year. Gave me the code and I could see the temps climbing when I blew my hg. Best 65 bucks spent. But do like the simplicity of this mod. Clean.

Wish you hadn't mentioned your HG. Going out to CO late next month and I'm already paranoid. I've been thinking my odds are lower beings the truck is a 97. I guess we shall see.
