Fab'd up some removable mud flaps for my LX. Welded some tabs onto my 4x4Labs bumper to bolt on some generic flaps. Found out now with my new trailer my tires cover it in mud and junk and I cracked the windshield on my 80 towing it to Moab last year so I need to fix it.

Gotta get me some chrome naked ladies or something 😆

Used my Super Cruiser good and hard this week! Towed my EV80 down to Hurricane, UT for the Offroad Wrecker Games! So frickin cool! Having a blast!

Towed all day at 75 MPH and stopped for gas and snapped this FLIR picture, the blower is barely even warm! It's an efficient unit that's for sure.

I'll do a full report and post all my photos if you guys are interested but here are a couple:

@J1000 Picture request. Hoping to order the same heat exchanger and reservoir from Elate. Mind sharing how you got those mounted? Thanks in advance :)

I mounted the heat exchanger behind the grill. Had to move the horns a little bit. I don't know if it would fit behind an LC grill but it probably will. The reservoir and pump I mounted to the firewall and inner fender area on the passenger side:

Great thanks

Honestly, I am super happy with my truck right now. Every time I drive it I just love it. It's my happy place.

The only thing I can really think I should do is upgrade the exhaust. I'm going to build something custom to replace the catback. I have the Borla which is only 2.25" from the muffler all the way to the tailpipe so I'm going to upgrade that to 3" with a new muffler. Not looking forward to getting it up and over the axle.

Cool. Nice to be able to just enjoy it.
It sounds great in the videos as is. Mine is long tube to 3" then y before muffler. I have a huge muffler and stock resonator though. It's to quite and I'm always looking for a little more sound but it's nice for it to not drown.

Will be following for any new upgrades.

I took my truck to the certified scales today because I was curious what it weighed. I've tried to keep my truck light but damn, I didn't realized it would be this light.

5,860 lbs was the weight. That's way lighter than I was expecting. I was thinking 6,000 or 6,200 at the lightest. This is as pictured with none of the rear seats installed. 1/2 tank of gas.

Mine probably weighs close to yours. What winch are you running?

Badlands Apex 12000. I like it a lot. I pulled my buddy's 80 across Lake McConaughey beach for like 500ft and it hardly got warm. Used it to get myself up a ledge when I had a CEL and my ATRAC stopped working and I forgot my OBD dongle. Also pulled some stumps out.

Good feedback. I went with the Warn Evo 8S for the sole reason of keeping the weight to a minimum, will just do a double line if the load is near the capacity.

Got some deferred maintenance done on the Super Cruiser today. I replaced the steering rack with a rebuilt one from Detroit Axle. Couldn't resist the low price and lifetime warranty. Looks like a solid unit and has some serious bushings with metal inserts. Also replaced the AC compressor with a new Denso unit. Currently pulling a vacuum then time to recharge the system.

My steering rack is original and lasted 292k miles before I decided it was time. A few weeks ago I was towing my trailer through the mountains and after a section of really tight corners with the suspension in Sport passing tourists (empty trailer) my steering started to get really loose and my stability control started to beep at me and jerk the truck all over the road. Luckily I had a traction control off switch and was able to turn it off and make it the rest of the journey without issues. I've done some pretty hard wheeling since I bought it in 2018 and am actually very surprised it lasted me about 100k miles with that kind of abuse. In the same time my wheeling friend has replaced the steering rack in his Tacoma twice:rofl:

I'm installing my APEX 12000 and trying to figure out where to mount the controller box. How did you get it mounted? Mind sharing a picture?
