nice - big price drop - I spoke to Tor about this in a 40 and he likes the idea. Totally fair price-my issue is more about alternatives i have at a given price. (stalking a 5.7 , 80k mile 1fz. diesel alternatives etc).

Is the 5 speed spacing much better? or far lower 1st gear etc compared to the 4spd??

Hey, sorry to hijack, but if you don’t mind, could you measure the 2UZ height from lowest point on the oil pan to highest point on the engine. Within an inch or so is totally fine. If not, no worries. Thanks either way! Michael.

I would be intetested in seeing a toyota 5.7 in a 40 series. That is a big motor and probably a tight fit. 6 speed trans a nd Superchargers are available for that too. I encourage you to buy that and stuff it in. Show us something diffetent but start a build thread, so we can follow along.
 
a buddy has a 6.0LS in his 45.....so im thinking a 5.7 should fit....now a supercharger....well now thats some crazy talk ;)

did your $5k 2uz drivetrain setup end up selling or are you planning to stuff that in a Corolla ?

I still have it and have since picked up a manual transmission to bolt up to the 2uz. It will go in my 45 whenever I get time. Still have the 5 speed auto. Not really trying to sell it anymore. I would like to install the auto setup in an 80. If I just had ti.e for my big dreams.
 
Which manual trans / transfer case fits the 2UZ?

I know the H15x can be made to fit with the right bellhousing(?) and input shaft. @joekatana just sold one.

Talking to a guy at torfab about his 60-series axles w/ARB, sliders, wheels & tires for his pig (and mine).

2UZ+5 speed, 60-series axles w/4.88s & ARB lockers in a SOA fj55 on 37s, anyone?

Could just be a bit more shipping, (and a lot more work), right?

I bought the setup Joe sold. It was originaly out of a 100 series that came factory with a manual h151f. I sourced a complete manual ecu set from AU to go with it.

I plan to end up with a SWB 45, 2uz, manual 5 speed, 80 axles, 4.88s on 37's and while I am dreaming a black box to go with it.

That would be a nice pig.

Just so we are not ruining the for sale thread here. The set up being sold here would make a great swap for an 80 series. I still have a dream to do that swap some day as well.
 
This has been shipped back to us in Colorado by @torfab

It still needs a new home. This package is stored out of weather inside and dry.

Anything thing else you can add about how store? Every outdoors? How transported?
 
It was removed from the truck for an engine swap at @torfab and then stored out of weather at his shop. It was shipped from his shop to mine on a pallet, unloaded and stored inside a shipping container at my shop. It’s been there ever since. Tor can speak to its condition, nothing has changed since. The miles are actual and Tor can attest to this.

If someone out there is genuinely interested in purchasing, please let me know. Thank you.
 
Hi, have a '99, runs fine (but the engine came from the Black Lagoon and I barely trust the electronics) and 4sp shifts fine but all the same I'm intrigued with more gears and power. What would my drive train be worth and is this lunacy?
