I think I found the issue...

Ring and pinion and carrier all have chunks missing.

For the past couple of weeks I've been thinking of getting out of the Land Cruiser and into something different. After 14 awesome years the the 100 Series I made the ultimate decision to purchase something that I can enjoy all the time and not just twice a year off road.

I'll never forget my first Land Cruiser. It will always have a spot in my heart. My wheeling was getting too hard core for the 100 and I was beating it up quickly.I stepped back one day and looked at it, then realized I need a 40 Series.

I traded in 100 series for a Mercedes Benz E55 with 640HP and 780 Torque at the wheels. I cried when I saw the Landcruiser in my rearview mirror when I was pulling out.

I'll be back in a cruiser, once cruiser head always a cruiser head. See you all soon :)

All the best,
Nick C / 2000UZJ

Nick, thanks for all your contributions to the 100 community. Try and keep out of trouble with that E55! Cheers!

Whoa! That'll make the highway miles melt :)

leave it to hoser :D

I already purchased chrome aviator glasses, one gallon of hair gel, and an all white suit.

I'll be looking for a 80/100 in a few months.

Nick:
Very nice!
Send me a pm when you have time,
Louis!

This thread took an unanticipated turn! Nice Benz Nick.

Best of luck with the LC hunt. Thanks for sharing some of your adventures with us.

Is the expo lighting business going away? I hope not some nice products you were bringing to market. Nice Benz..
Find you a cheap 80 and get back to the trails soon.

Sad day , in reading this post. Thanks nick for all your help on my hundy. If you ever want to just roll in one you can borrow mine any time while I drive the bj73.

Was the damage to the ring and pinion the reason for selling the 100? This was the first build I ever followed and took advice from, and I still credit you and your work for showing me along and introducing me to this amazing Cruiser community. I'm sure it's been a fantastic journey and I can't wait until you get back in the Cruiser game
