2in lift in front, 0.75in lift in rear. Wildpeaks run great, just heavier than KO2s. Quieter in my opinion.

Curiously comparing some specs for LT285/70r17 LT-E specs, KO2 to AT3W

Diameter - 32.7 , 33.0
Tread Width - 11.5, 11.6
Tread Depth - 15/32, 18/32
Weight - 58lbs, 59lbs

There's other load ratings for both tires in this size that have different specs

New tires today got bolted onto my first 200. The truck is at stock height. The fellow who assisted me at the local Les Schwab told me their 275/70/18 Mazama Open Range (built by Sumitomo) has a diameter of 33.4" and width of 11.1". I was pleased that they barely fit with zero rubbing at full turn angles. It appears this size is a maximum diameter/width for a stock 200 without requiring wheel well plastic trimming or mud flap removal.

Edit: Today I noticed light rubbing with wheel cranked while moving in reverse, coming from front of tire.

Hello. Looking at Toyo Open Country AT IIIs mounted on a 2008 LC with a stage 7 ICON suspension. Fit? Rubbing? I can't seem to find the spreadsheet with the all the tire information. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike

My new, used, ride got some new shoes and rims. The set up before was less than ideal on 18" TRD Pro rims with a 60mm offset and no spacers running 275/70/18. With an existing OME lift it looked quite dorky. Luckily the tires were done so I could pick my own.

Went with Icon Rebound (25mm offset) in 17's (1817855557BR) as I like the more tire look. I am partial to Toyo's and went with their R/T's in 285/75/17. Glad I did a ton of research on this forum and this thread regarding sizing as they provide plenty of lift and fit the wheel well perfectly. Zero rub with the Dissent front bumper; just had to remove the front mud flaps. The road noise is roughly the same as the prior tire; minimal. FWIW the full size spare does fit underneath in the allocated space.

How she sits now until the next mod comes about:

Hey Jerz, I’m likely going to get 285/75/r17 Falken Wildepeak AT3W on a 2” OME lift with Slee front and rear bumper (non swing out). I just wanted to double check that you have this tire size in the spare location and have zero issues with it? There are conflicting viewpoints on this.

The Toyo AT3 in that size definitely fits in spare location.

As @lx200inAR said it for sure fits in there. Probably had 1 inch all around the tire between frame and such. My tire is now on my Dissent swing arm so can't send pics, sorry. I had Toytec do my alignment (old tires wore bad and for $100 no brainer) after the rim/tires installs and they all stated that size is the perfect fit for our rides with the KDSS.

Looking good. Just put my bronze Icon Rebounds (+25) wrapped in 285/70/17 Toyo Open Country A/T IIIs. 2013 LX stock AHC height.

Had to remove the f/f and f/r mudflats to get rid of the rubbing.

Question for the crew, do the f/f mud flap screws hood anything else in or can they be left off?

Mud flap screws are ok to leave out, they don’t support anything else but it’s always a good idea to fill any open holes to prevent rust. I’d say just screw in the existing hardware to fill the holes. I ultimately ended up chopping up the mud flaps to remove the portion that was hitting the tires.

Copy that appreciate it and this thread!

I reinstalled the screws on the back end as one did go into metal and the others appeared to hold the running boards and the fender plastic in place.

On the fronts, I’m going to be putting the rhino bumper on so that piece is going to be gone anyways at some point in the near future.

Nice! Any difference in driving quality? What’s your psi?
PSI is currently at 43. I’m running the LTs at E.

Took another mudders advice and played around with the different modes. Sport mode seems to be a good rebalance to stiffen it up a little to accommodate a little bit more roll. Absorbs the lovely San Diego potholes much better now even in sport.

Road noise is barely noticeable only if I’m driving with the radio off and windows up. Once there is any kind of ambient sound, it’s drowned out. I’ve also always had some form of AT on my rigs though so I might just be used to it. ‘99 taco ran the original bfgs for 14 years and our ‘14 4R has the 265/70/17 Toyo AT IIs on already. Liked their performance both on and off roars as well as in the snow so ran with them here too. Haven’t tested them out too heavily on the LX yet though, only 4 days and about 50 miles in on them. Need to torque the new lugs back down to ensure a proper seating before doing anything extended. Also still waiting on the spare as that one had a longer trip to get home.

For guys running 275/70/18, any issues with fitting that size spare under your cruiser?

No issue with this size. Anything below 34” fits with ease.

Perfect, that’s what I assumed but appreciate the confirmation. Thank you!

So here's a question for the brain trust.

I've got 35's (285/75r18) mounted on TRD Tundra takeoffs that are going on the LX this spring. What would be the preferred spacer size to make everything fit up? 1" or 1.25"? Does it even matter between the two? Are Spidertrax and Bora pretty much the only brands I should consider? Another factor, I may consider a wider tire when these wear out (295/70 or 305/70?).

And yes, I've read up and I'm prepared to do the standard "big tire" mods.

1” or 1.25” would work for either size

3/4”-1” is more ideal for stuffing and scrub radius. But either of those and 1.25 all used with success.

If you have a choice, 1" spacers would be optimal. It's going to maximize the possible clearance at the front and minimize mods, possibly even get away without a BMC.
