Any photos of 200 series with the six shooter?

We haven't been able to do a proper photoshoot with a 200 series as of yet, because these wheels were just released. As soon as we can arrange a photoshoot with our photographer and a 200 series we'll get some pictures posted up.

This is not the same wheel, but it is a very similar wheel that we offer in 18" (credit to IH8MUD member @LexCruiser08 ):

No need I had those exact wheels/tire combo on my stock heritage. They fit and dont rub at all without spacers with stock HE wheels. To correct scrub radius, you will need a spacer 1-1.25 inch bringing the offset from 60mm to around 35-40 (this will not poke as well). With spacers though the tire rubs on the mudflaps, nothing a bit of work with a heat gun wont fix though.

However, I'd just stick em on without spacers. I did not like the look or the ride with the skinny tires so went to geolanders in 285 65 18s.
So after a few thousand miles on my 275/70r18 KO2’s (with the heritage wheels) I find that they do rub slightly when in reverse.
I think it’s against the upper control arm.

Otherwise I very much like these tires.

I haven’t done anything more than mild off-roading, but I haven’t noticed any other rubbing.

Do you guys think spacers would cure this?
And does anybody make a 0.5” spacer or a 0.75” spacer?
I’m trying to find a middle ground that clears the UCA but doesn’t require any heat-gunning.

I think Bora makes a .75" wheel spacer for our trucks. Post pics with the new shoes and don't forget that I have the new spare in that tire model and size if you need it.

Thank you. Glad you like the wheels. :)👍

I believe you're referring to the link to our website? The first two wheels listed on the update page on our website take you to the 6x139.7 wheels for the third generation Sequoia/Tundra, and the next two links are for the 5x150 wheels for LC-200 and second generation Sequoia / Tundra. The design, testing, engineering, certification, etc. applies to both the 5x150 version and the 6x139.7 versions of these new wheels. 👍

Do you have a photo database of FN wheels on 200 series? I have a silver 200 series and would love to see some shots of your wheels another silver, tough work deciding on what wheel I prefer and in what finish. TIA.

Cool. Thanks. I’ll check out Bora.

And I was hoping I had a good photo of the tires up at Gold King Basin near Telluride (since you are there), but I can’t find one.
I’ll have to take a pic to post while I am here in boring/hot Houston.

But if you go to Alta lakes, don’t miss the turn to Gold King. It’s worth the quick drive.

Pretty sure I read every fitment example on here before finally deciding on a set up for my new-to-me LX. Tried out a set of 0.75" Bora spacers with the stock wheels for a couple weeks and decided I wanted a full set of wheels instead.

Method MR318 18x8.5 +40mm
BFG KO2 33x12.50R18 (32.5 actual)

Pic is at normal AHC height. Had to move the front fender liner forward 1" and massage the front mudflap with a heat gun. No rubbing currently. Suspension is fully stock.

BORA makes .75" spacers, I have a set here for my 200. @MCtree just make sure there are pockets behind the HE wheels for the protruding wheel studs to fit into. For example, the earlier Tundra TRD pro wheels don't have that pocket so I had to switch to BORA 1" spacers from .75"

Thank you for the input! I hadn’t thought about the stud length.

But I just found this thread.

It seems HE wheels have a pocket but I will verify.

Running Baja Boss LT315/70R17 load range E on my 2013 LX. Mickey Thompson lists the O.D. IN. at 34.6
Gaijin what pressure should I set these at?

The RCTIP for LT315/70R17 tires on your LX570 is 35psi F/R.

Swapped out my general grabber ATXs for the Kenda Klever RT in LT275/70r18. Haven't had a chance yet to test their offroad ability, on pavement the road noise is slightly more present (whoosh sound) then the grabbers which were barely louder then the Michelin defender ltxs that came on it when I purchased it last year. The ride feels softer with the kendas. The grabbers were a LT285/65r18.

Have a slight kdss rub at full lock while moving on the passenger side sway bar. These kendas run tall and wide for LT275/70r18. They are Listed as 33.43 for height and 11.22 for width. Top to bottom I measured their mounted height as roughly 32.5".

@gaijin would you be so kind to provide the RCTIP for my LC200 with LT275/70/R18 125/122R load. Based on what I have read here I have them set at 41psi, is this correct?

How are the Kenda's treating you?

I ran them for about 20k and then upsided and switched to the Yoko G003 MTs.
During that 20k the Kendas were phenomenal and never let me down. Incrediblely strong sidewalls and tread blocks. Never had any chunking or irregual wear.
Wish i could say the same about the Yokos MTs which I have taken on the same rocky Sierra trails and have experienced sidewall damage and noticeable tread block chunking only after just two days of wheeling. Pretty dissapointed with the durability of these Yokos compared to the Kendas.

The Kendas have good siping (2 to 3 per tread block) and exceeded my expectations for on road and wet/snow driving. if I ever upgrade to 35's ill be going with the Kenda Klever RT's in 35x10.5xr17.

If you don't need an RT tire I have also had good experience with their newer Kenda A/T2 tire. Looks similar but is not as aggressive and is little better on road while also being 3 pmsf (snow) rated.

great feedback! thanks!

You’re welcome, here is a comparison of their RT and A/T2 for reference. The RT has a much more aggressive 3 ply sidewall and larger center lugs. The A/T2 is a 2 ply sidewall and about 8lbs lighter in the same lt275/70r18 size.

Thinking I will stick with 18" wheels for drivability, since she is my driver. Also, does the truck in the picture have spacers or is this just with the 18mm offset?

Can anyone help me sort how big of a tire I can go with in a stock LX and not have rubbing? I am planning on sticking to KO2s. I have not done a sensor lift, just lazy, but will do when new wheel are set up.

Hi @raincityrider ,

The Landcruiser in the picture doesn't have any spacers - just the 18x9" +18mm offset wheels.

Generally speaking, I would say that in order for us to guarantee no rubbing with 18x9" +18mm offset on a stock suspension LX570 you would need to stick with a stock equivalent tire size, which would be 285/60R18.

However, if you don't mind heating up plastic inside the front wheel wells with a heat gun or old hair dryer and then molding molding them back for more clearance you should be able to fit 285/65R18 at stock ride height. You might not even need to adjust the plastics at all, but depending on the condition of your suspension there could be a minimal amount of rubbing.

Anything larger than 285/6R18 would require a lift.

You might consider our 17x9" +25mm offset flow formed Five Stars and Six Shooters as well, which opens up more tire sizes in the BFG KO2 such as 295/70R17, which is a 33.3" OD.

As of right now we do not. We don't have nearly as many photos from 200 series customers as we do 4Runner, GX460/470, Tacoma, Tundra and FJ Cruiser customers.

If you're every out this way (Southern California) I'd be happy to show you any of our wheels next to your Landcruiser, and we do have some mounted with tires that we could bolt up and show you as well.

I do have dissent front and R bumpers how much does that affect the rub?

The high clearance front bumper will pretty much eliminate the possibility of rubbing with up to a 34" OD tire. You shouldn't rub the body mount / frame in the front with up to a 34" ~ 34.3" OD.

The rear tires are pretty much never an issue even with the stock rear bumper.

What is the weight rating for the 18" BFD? Was advised to check that. Anyone know the weight ration on the older Tundra wheels I have on my truck? See Pic in profile.
