Haven’t posted in a while. Have been touring around the states as of late.

Got hit by some flash flooding in Utah that got pretty harry. We had to navigate through water over the hood for many miles.

We made it out safe but had to drive the Troopy almost 100 miles before I was able to get it to where I could look at it.

Drained the tranny, transfer case and the differentials. Seems that water was in all of them.

The tranny was the most concerning as it spewed fluid out of the fill hole.

I am noticing a “humming” while in 4th and 5th gear. I am wondering if the water detonated my H55F. Any insight would be appreciated!

Yeah, I didn't think it looked too watery, but I am confused as to how so much fluid came out of the fill hole...

The fork area is not seal it's a small booth that could actually drink water ... where the master is located ... Very nice picture was this at Devils tower?

Are you heading north? Cheers

Most folks don't know this, but Devil's Tower was built in 1955 by the Hilton Hotell corporation as a resort.

If you look closely, you can see the windows of the rooms between the striations of the Tower...

I heard it was once a giant tree. 😋

And @theadamnc you are certainly having adventures in your Troopy!

Cheers

I did you engine survive when the snorkel wasn’t even seated? Or is that why you are currently upgrading to a 1hd?
Luckily the engine did not sustain any damage. The Snorkel held on just long enough and there was just a little dust in the airbox as normal. My 1HZ is up for grabs though, if anyone is interested. I just wanted a more powerful motor and turbo combo so I can cruise up hill faster.
