I decided to go with Lizard Skin because I have heard some good things about it, and I can spray it out of a gun which means I can get into a lot of tight spaces. I am doing both the Sound and Thermal insulation.
I recommend getting the "Spray Kit" from them and just saving yourself the time. The spray is easy enough to mix up using a drill and is water based so you can fix any overspray fairly easy. If you are used to painting with a paint gun you will be fine, but make sure you adjust your nozzle on some cardboard or something first.
I found that it liked to run at 60 PSI with my set up, but that could be different for you.
It also comes out purple, but dries to a black.
Even though I followed the manufacturers guidelines to a "T" I still had some slight cracking. I suppose this is because the epoxy primer was a little thicker and therefore more wet in certain spots. No big deal, I will let it cure more for a few days before adding the thermal coating.
I will try to take more pictures of the following projects so that there is more information available for others.
I will end up consolidating and improving a lot of the wiring to include rebuilding that rear harness.
I also have plans to sew up some sound deadening panels for the sidewalls that will snap on and also enable me to store tools and other essentials in the walls.
More to follow....
