I sped through this build a bit. I figured i'd jump to milestones vs reviewing each turn taken.

Next is the tent sides, and a lift kit.

Really impressive idea, and looks great. I like the inside storage boxes, looks good. Can't wait to see the whole thing done.

did you stick weld the whole thing? that's determined!

Looking awesome!

Keep in mind that aluminum can corrode when touching stainless steel. You need something between them. But stainless also causes general area dissimilar metal corrosion. Even if they are separated. Keep some plastic between the hinge and the aluminum to help.

If screws are going into the aluminum use aluminum washers under the screw heads. Otherwise you will see more corrosion under each screw. The aluminum washer is sacrificial.

brownbear,

Thank you for the reminder. I originally used screws so I could assemble/disassemble. Before I monstaliner and complete the topcap I'll change them out for AL rivets. as for the front hinge, I'll take your advice and use plastic and AL washers, along with some dielectric grease

Nice job!

Good on you for taking the plunge!
I've been envisioning ways to get this done for years.

Did you handle some of the rust in the A pillars?

Did you roll on the Monstaliner?

I bet you got almost ten lbs of weld up there too...

Nice work!

Hi all,

Neat build SFCruiser!

Regards,
