HJ61 needs nothing. Ready to roll. This rare bird turns heads like nothing other in Park City, Utah.

I am now a auto dealer in Park City, Utah and this rare bird has been transferred into
the inventory of the new dealership. Time to flip it and get another.

There’s 2types of dealers......

1. Flipper. Knows little to no expertise in what’s being flipped. And doesn’t give a s*** what is kicked down to the unlucky buyer. Taking a fast buck and imparting little service except in the service of “self” and the next flip. little to no concern for the buyer.

2. Dealer . Educated seller who takes time getting to know a vehicles value and impart his knowledge and expertise to help a less educated buyer transition into something of value. Taking a fee for knowledge in service “of the buyer”.

dealers are welcomed here. And there’s plenty of helpful ones who take the time to know their product vs pimp their product. one is a professional....the other is a pimp-fessional.

Ahhh, the wonderful world-wide-web... where you're accused of being a pimp at 2am. One would think "informed" enthusiasts would like to know when a rust-free HJ (that I've personally owned for 1.5 years) comes to market and what it goes for; whether you're a prospective buyer or not. I guess not. Sincere apologies for not putting all my photos and info in my post. I figured I'd instead direct the traffic to my site. God forbid. I'll be sure in the future to use this forum for educational purposes ONLY and be sure to steer very clear of the classifieds.

I'll add pics when I'm back in town in a couple days. Until then there's more pics on my site. $24k obo (let the forum howling commence...).
Rust free HJ. I've personally owned for 1.5 years. I only put on 750 miles. All original interior, 12ht engine and auto transmission. New belts, hoses, steering shock and steering column knuckle. Engine is tip top and cold starts like a champ. I got the reproduction decals from Cruiser
World in the Netherlands. Cigarette burn in drivers seat, passenger seat and one in headliner. No cigarette smell. Aside from that the interior is mint. I've yet to see an original HJ61 or FJ62 with this clean of a interior. No cracks in dash. Altimeter doesn't work. All other electronics work. Feel free to ask anything else.

as you probably know- the main issue with jdm vehicles is underneath. Detailed photos of frame and underbody crossmembers will dictate why it’s been painted. Typically paint is done when holes have crept up and jdm types smear some goo over the holes /sand smooth/ and “some” call it good-paint. Highlighting any bubbling in the paint in usual bad areas will save anyone interested a trip to look for this in person. Pics underneath will speak volumes as to where this served duty in Japan. Big difference in ones that spent its life in Nagano or non mountain regions. Also the date when you imported it can go a long ways to dating back to when it was painted......typically recent paint won’t show bubbling whereas if you said you imported this 6years ago-have owned it personally for 5 -then any bubbling rust would have had a good chance to rear its ugly head. so details like this matter.

At $24k most educated buyers will want to ensure the engine is healthy. Smoke on cold start vids, dry or leaks around I.p. And compression numbers on each cylinder warm would nail down a very precise prediction of engine health. at $15-16k buyers will probably roll the dice and go by correlating odo miles and more visible signs of health- idle, smoke on cold start, and overall body condition. some buyers want great body and will deal with engine.....while others will opt to deal with fixing rust and want a great engine. some just want it cheap and a project with descent bones.

Your first post points to “flipper”. (And you even say it)

Your most recent post sounds like you have a bit more knowlwdge than you initially let on- which is only going to help your cause—the more info you are able to share as you move to help fascilitate a sale and a good match for this cruiser to an interested party.

Welcome to mud :flipoff2:

Looking forward to pics and details here. (Not driving up the click count on your business website, no offense, but that is generally considered trolling and may be against TOS?)

FWIW, I have flown cross country to pick up a cruiser and drive it home for a price that made me a little uncomfortable, but it took A LOT of information and A LOT of pictures to get me there :o

Serious offer, drive that beauty 45 minutes south to my place and I'll take a look and a drive and I'll post up my honest opinion. I'll even let you take a gander at my 61 and see what you think!

I am a licensed Utah dealer (dealer #780A). I'd be risking my license taking it off-site for this purpose. If you indeed have a "serious offer" you'll come to the dealership lot like you'd have to do at any other licensed dealership in the 'ol US of A.

Sorry for the confusion, I was merely offering my opinion on your vehicle for sale, not to buy the vehicle. I currently own an (awesome) HJ61, and have no reason for a second. Good luck with the sale, without seeing the condition of the vehicle in person I would say your asking price is a bit on the high side.

Yeah I misunderstood... the "serious offer" part threw me
