40,000 km and the wipes still look new but getting replaced anyway along with all gaskets and seals, the bearings showed NO wear so they will be cleaned and reused.
inside the knuckle looked fine as well but the seals were changed out for Marlin double lipped and new syn grease was installed.
how deep is the snow outside? roughly 4' in the middle of the farmers field and my yard, normally this time of year the snow is about 6". been a nasty windy cold winter. that is our new pup Amigo, to help fill the hole left behind by old Cruiser. king of the mountain ... till Billie decides to put him back in his place. just like having a pair of teenagers in the home again.
time to fit the AC pump, this pump and bracket is off a 60 series. it is different than the factory 70 series pump and mount, very hard to locate.
both AC tensioner designs are obsolete.
brand new pump, brand new dryer. shur are purdy.

brand new AC belt pulley for the crank
can't resist it, another pic of the pup
since the tensioners are obsolete i am forced to make one up, i want the finished look to appear factory ... somewhat. so a gaser tensioner is aquired and cut to size then milled to with in a mil of needed depth.
funky back yard mech figuring out the needed depth for the tensioner milling.

the front full sized locker needs a long spline shaft. sadly these are now obsolete.
electric locker harnesses made up.
couple more trying to stay out of the wind and snow.
ingenious way to keep from loosing screws and bolts while not attached to the vehicle
what the 60 series gasser tensioner looked like before the mods

okay, now i am done.

12v wiring

Hey Wayne,
Great work as always! I couldn't tell how you wired the 24v to 12v converter in the pictures. Is the relay after the converter or before? Does the converter always get 24v from the batteries or does the converter only turn on via the relay when the key is turned to on position?

Question:

Are those 80 series third members? If so, would one have to make those cuts in the axle housing to fit e-locker thirds in a 60 series axle housing, or is that just for 70 series?

Thanks
