Tank is out. I wish I had not looked in that hole I cannot unsee that.

Lost a little weight.

At this point I am in desperate need of part # 78014-90A00, the bracket that fits under the carb and connects to the accelerator. No longer in the system. I will be calling the usual suspects tomorrow but if anyone sees this and has one I'd appreciate you hitting me up.

Goal is to have it running by Xmas and into my garage so the HOA doesn't get bent out of shape. Making strides busting rust as well.

Sent you a PM. Can't get pictures to attach to a PM, but it's this part I need:

Thanks Nolen! Lifesaver!

As much as carbs are changed out on these trucks someone is going to have to start fabbing these things.

This is looking solid. Far better than what I started off with.
That’s good to hear. I hope I can get this one like yours at some point.

Thanks for all of the encouragement this thing is still in the POS stage right now.

Once you accept that it will always be a POS in the eyes of some, but a gem to you…you will teach true zen.

We got a lot of progress done last Friday.

-Removed old fuel hard lines
-Mounted Fuji carb, choke, Nolen’s throttle linkage plate
-New fuel soft lines from fuel pump to where they attach to hard lines, plus new fuel filter
-TLC Performance desmog pulley and EGR cap installed
-Successfully pulled upper thermostat housing without breaking bolts
-Flushed radiator, still need to flush block

Left to do:

-Run new hard lines and install gas tank
-Fan clutch, new thermostat and gaskets
-Flush block and cooling system
-Swap in new plugs, wires, filters, etc
-Cap a few vacuum ports on intake
-Add gas and fire this thing up!

PROGRESS! :)
Do you already have the replacement tank? Long Range? I mean if you're swapping...

We used @BamaHeel old tank and got it boiled and lined locally at Southern Armature downtown. A lot cheaper than an LRA tank too

Busting the rust on the frame without a rack is taking a while.

Will have some pictures soon.

I splurged on a full Ironman FCP suspension, and based on pics of @HemiAlex rig I popped for 16” 70 wheels. Cannot believe you can still get them from dealer.

Now just need to get this thing going under its own power.

Love your screen name too; my favorite book of all time.
Atticus gets all the attention, but Boo Radley was the real hero.
