Ok - more photos.
General view of the control side of the smog stuff. Note ABV, EGR control, and various other controls. I am noticing that one of the vacuum hoses looks disconnected on that center nipple thing... I'll have to go back out there and check it!

Smog pump resides under the PS pump. This is the Saginaw conversion from Valley Hybrids
@orangefj45, works great!

Air rail, VSV, and BVSVs. The two nipples (the purple thing at the bottom) attached to the BVSV have a nasty tendency to snap off when doing any work nearby.

Charcoal canister. This was a replacement from Amazon (maybe??) that works well, but this might look different in the 40. The little solenoid on the upper right opens and closes to let gases into the intake stream.

EGR. This can be pretty robust but you will want to check it. Pull vacuum on it when it's running and if the engine dies, it works.

Last one - EGR control, HAI flap and heat riser. The heat riser (that accordion type pipe running to the underside of the intake) needs to be in place to pass visual. Doesn't have to be factory but it needs to be there. There's a HAI controller in the air cleaner, that can die. Not a dealbreaker necessarily, but apparently it helps control air intake temps in cold weather.
