The copper washer is supposed to be there.
Really? I have not.
It’s conical joint which won’t hold that way. Or is this some model year related thing?

What's a conical joint? Do you mean inverted flare? The part # in your pic shows an application for 1980 to 1984. I'm not familiar with those yrs. Most hoses brake line hoses I've seen One end screws into a block and uses a copper washer and the other end has an inverted flare that a metal double flare fitting screws into..

Blocks need washers. Block-less, thread in fittings use inverted flare, no washer needed. Other makes and models use either inverted or bubble flare, again, no washer needed.

The t-unions do not have an inverted flares where the soft hoses screw into the union and "should" require an O-ring. I needed 3 in total for my 79, one in the rear where the hose goes into the axle t-union on the axle housing. I needed 2 up front where the hose goes into the t-union on the backing plate.

I snugged up the connections and do not have any leaks.

This truck should come off the lift today!!!!

Shakedown run went well. She rides fantastic!

The steering wheel is complete upside down with linkage to FSM specs. I don’t have enough adjustment in the drag link without limiting turn. Not sure if it is easier to flip the steering wheel or the separate at the rag joint?

Just pull the wheel

That’s good advice. I have always had some lean. I had a 3/8” spacer block above the passenger rear leaf with my OME setup and probably could have used a 1/2”. I like the passenger right height. I assume I can add a leaf to one side. The ride is noticeably better.
