I’m curious as to why the adapter is 2 pieces?
Good question. I had the same one.

Basically you need the height as well as the adapters to make the factory air cleaner work.

One big huge honkey adapter would work but two small adapters is what’s best.

The 2300 has two adapters. One bottom. One top PLUS the OEM F style base plate or 2F heat shield.

The Wizard came early today. He’s got a mission. We may have an exhaust by the end of business today

He did let me grind the paint off the crossmember.

Well kinda. He came back after me

Got on lots of cool stuff today.

Finally got the hinge back and stabbed the grill. Beautiful.

Next I got the heater in and the final hoses done so I can add my coolant

When I got the grill on the hood was a bit out of alignment so I went ahead and peeled the OE gaskets off and added some new and got it all lined up

Then the crazy fab guy showed up and I had to act fast to get myself something to do with the truck up in the lift.

I plopped the tank in place and got the hoses fed through the tub. I have enough slack to get the tranny hump in easily.

Once that’s in I got the rest of the fuel system plumbed.

While the wizard is combining the early 60/late 60 crossmembers into one, I went and dug out the last special part for the build ……

You gotta hand it to Lockwood. He does not play

How about a 4/1979 Warren Wench to go with the 12/1978 Land Cruiser that just arrived at the dealership ?

So believe it or not, Warn made a Nissan Patrol free wheeling hub that was specific to the 1960’s USA market Patrol.

20yrs ago I scored an NOS set on Ebay in the original box just like that winch, cost me $500. Which at the time was what you could buy a whole parts truck for. Love that kind of stuff!

Cheers

I really think he ought to fill out the warranty card and send it in...
The card is worth preserving more than I’m worried about the winch not working!

How about the no ground cable and one blue power lead.
