Geez... Big difference in being blunt...or being rude! Pretty sure half the people here if face to face wouldn't say half of what they do when behind their comfy keyboard. I'm still floored that the old" if you have nothing nice to say..don't say it" for some reason applies to most other forums, but for some reason not here on Mud . Over the past few years Mud has really gone down hill with the for sale section comments. All in all there's still alot of great fellow gear/cruiser heads here and a great community, but alot of comments should be kept to yourself or atleast empty soapbox in own garage...if you must, atleast be civil and don't muddy the thread with them..a PM would be much better.

jpsfj60 fellow Forum member came to view my fj today, must say John is a great guy and taught me some valuable things about my fj. More importantly during our test drive, he drove the car much more aggressively than I do and quite honestly opened up my eyes to how this fj could be driven. After a lengthy discussion, I decided that my fj is just too nice to sell, regardless of price and my current financial situation, I am going to keep it. I did promise John if I was to sell it, he will get the first call. John thanks again for all the info, enjoyed meeting you.

Bill dive it like you stole it!!!!! I will never forget this day. I can't believe how much I love this FJ40.
Will be waiting for that call one day... Call me if you need anymore help or advice.

When the time is right you will be the first to get the call, looking into Wilwood brake kit for the rear.

I've made 47 trips to my garage to take more pictures...that's brutal...

Sounds about right, people want as many pictures as you can take - which is a good thing! When I did the photography and marketing at the local dealership in town I would take on average 40 pictures per car. Whenever you sell anything the more pictures the better.

Now you'll probably get it sold after all those trips...and that's worth it! ;)

Dan try to weed out the tire kickers, serious buyers will call you and then you can faCETIME WITH THEM SHOWING THE VEHICLE AND ANY IMPERFECTIONS.LONG DISTANCE PURCHASES ARE VERY TOUGH AND POTENTIAL BUYERS ARE BASICIALLY BUYING YOUR CREDILBILTY AND TRUST. Sorry for the caps

Dan, with all due respect, you have posted 40 photos total. I sent you a PM on day one which you didn’t respond to. I am in the market and am still interested. I have hesitated to phone since you didn’t respond but will try to reach you later this week.

I am kinda new to this forum stuff, usually I just keep to myself, if you could tell me how to respond to a PM, I will gladly do so, I only didn’t respond because I know nothing about PM’s, my apologies.

If you look in the top right corner of the page you will see a little mailbox icon. Click on it and those are all of your PM's (private messages). From there it will open a chatbox where you can reply. :)

This is a beautiful TLC!! I love it!!!!

  • Keep it!
  • Drive it!
  • Fix it up!
  • Enjoy it!
  • And love it!!!!

It is only going to go up in value :)

Alright the saga continues, turns out in order to purchase our beach house our attorney advise that we will have to contribute to pay off the tax lien on the property to settle on the property in two weeks. The Fj is back on the market. As of Friday night I had an out of state buyer willing to pay me above my asking price. I agreed funds were to be wired on sat am. You guessed it no wire arrived and have not heard from potential buyer. So, it is available ,in an effort of full disclosure a forum member visited the vehicle a week or so ago and after a careful review informed me the rear main seal has a drip, the license plate led lights didn't work and driver side rear side light doesn't work, that was all he could find. Sale also includes full metal half doors clean and finished in original body color, full carpet kit with insulation, Aux gas tank. Let me know if interested, please no games I am tired of playing them. Simple cash transaction please

FIRST $30,000.00 GETS IT. I can't believe I have had to reduce it this low, this Fj blows away any others I have seen, restoration is perfect, all gaps, rubber door seals, powder coated hinges with stainless screws. everything works, heat, a/c defrost ,lights , dimmer. whoever gets this is going to be getting a steal. Runs great and tracks straight down the road, shifts perfect as the clutch is great tires are barely worn. Just a killer deal for those looking. Settlement of our new home is approaching and that is the only reason I am selling 10 days ago I was keeping it.
