Just curious why you decided to go with pre 1975 top and barn doors?

Previous owner did the restoration, he was going for the best fit and finish and liked the look of the old school and the ability to open up the top window hatch. Hope Thant answers your question.

Well it's not exactly a restoration. Not picking on the 40; it's very nice but it's heavily modified in a non-Toyota way. Lot's of us aren't interested in a 40 with a Chevy engine, Porsche seats, and a Momo steering wheel. Again, it's a very nice restomod but with those modifications you eliminate a large population of potential buyers.

I'm sure it will sell; it's too nice to not sell. It just needs the right person to come along.

For that kind of money I would expect it to be fuel injected at least. Have a battery other than a wal-mart battery and a decent radiator. Also the Auto Gage 3 cluster gauges are pretty shameful on a vehicle that nice. The porsche seats and Momo steering wheel belong in a Porsche and not an FJ40. Its pretty for sure!!!

WOW! This sure got off track. Sorry yz. It’s hard to ask a legitimate question sometimes when the answers are so blunt. One thing great about guys on this site though, they know their stuff. It may give you some insight to why such a great truck at an affordable price is not moving.
