Texas, where the hardtop goes on in the summer.

Looking 👍🏽

Little stroll today. Ran great. Had the issue with the AFR A/F on the sniper hitting a hit number then stalling. It would restart right up, but do the same thing.
Ended up being the DUI module, second one I have replaced. 🤨 I wonder if this is an issue most people deal with or is there something causing it?
Another extra part in the glove box next to the O2 sensor.. You never know

My 71 build fried 2 DUI modules in about 200 miles. After watching the sniper voltage at crank, it was dropping into the high 10s with a 650cca battery. I bumped the battery up to a 750cca AGM and so far have been good(knock on wood).

Good to know! I will keep an eye on that. I think my battery is 650cca as well. Thanks

So had to repaint the door above. Had small specs in it… not sure where that came from🤷‍♂️
Got the other primed and painted same time
Also, did realize the air pressure valve on the gun was turned in… so 30psi at the gauge coming into gun was obviously lower. 🤬
Glad I caught it, these panels look really good. Very little orange peel.😍

Pretty much finished with all the body work/paint and assembly.
It was a barn door truck, so getting use to the ambulance doors. I like them lot better though.
Have a few odds and ends to fix, window on PS rolls up and down and gets stuck somewhat in the middle.

Sure drives nice a quiet with everything closed up. And the AC cools nice and frosty. 🥶

Contemplating changing the seat covers to Coral.

Eventually a 5 speed and lockers…$$$$$ 👎

DUI ignition modules are heat prone. Jump starting sometimes fries them as well. Lost a module uphill on the million dollar highway leaving Ouray. Not a fun place to lose one! Going back to 60 series OEM dizzy with electronic ignition which is far better!

I have an extra Module in my glove box just in case… lol

I have been smelling a faint gas smell in cab, enough to wonder wtf. I first thought it was the fuel evap separator. Found a great replacement, it’s a little pricey but works! Still had smell so I removed seat and saw the problem right away. The electric fuel pump I installed was leaked. Honestly I was not 100% sure if it was around the sides or at the AN connections. The bolts were slightly “loose” holding the pump down and I put teflon tape on the fittings again. The rubber gasket squished out a bit when tightening, so will see. Hopefully this will take care of the issue.

I also added an edge trim to the seat bracket so it would to rub on tank cover if touched.

Any suggestions on the gasket around the top would be great!
Thanks
