Patches over front fenders . Are you talking about between the front door and fender also he’s lifting the front floor Matt’s up today for more pictures I can’t get to the farm anytime soon . The roof has a dent yes . Feel like the chat is more on the negative side here about it .

Is this even worth saving or buying or is it scrap .

I'd buy it and work toward putting it back on the road... take your time...
I paid 2k for a similar 77, 2.5K for transport, (also green but darker) and it was original and NOT driveable, but cranked..
Doesnt mean much other than I was willing to pay 4.5K for a complete non driver ... and oh yeah, had surface rust all over the body, except the hood and roof... but the roof had a dent.. front fenders both needed patching, and the front driver's floorboard needed to be patched/replaced... overall cancer was not bad...
But like Rush said above, the rear cargo area was sweet... haha,,

If it runs and drives and systems work, heck yeah ... (for 5)

Sorry man, we’re just mulling it over. Many of have seen this exact scenario 50 times and have come to recognize the signs. Not necessarily being negative, but also not inflating expectations.
There’s probably someone sporting some huge pupils over this thing right now.

Ok so thanks for all the insight . The rockers have been covered with aluminum and rockers have rust .. He lifted the floor Matt’s the passenger side no rust the drivers side he said does have rust in area and soft .

He said the 2 front mounts do have rust so you guys are correct without seeing it .

How extensive is the rust I have no clue he took more pictures and you can see and maybe tell me how bad it is .

I know my 40s but these pigs sure do rust in areas I would never think off .

Gonna stand by $7500 for the elderly owner from standpoint if I was selling it for her. I think she could still get that. Now, I would be in the $5000 if I were to inspect it for myself, now after owning a couple of PIGS, the fact that it runs, drives and is original owner will mean something to someone unaware of the parts scarcity and rust dilemma.

I know I am crazy stupid with swine flu...

At the end of the day sty membership is a fun sickness. I bet you won't miss the money if you buy it.. My bet is you could spend 20K on it w repairs, parts, stuff, and still sell it for a close total price...
I'm impressed w it's completeness... my bet is the 'smalls' total a couple grand in value... she's a 'saver' for the next owner..
I think there is real value in working toward getting her back on the road and driving it.. take time to consider the body work... IMHO

I would need to see floors beford throwing out a $ amount 🤔😳😉. Rockers and fender patches, you looking at $800.00 + without labor. Floors $520.00 no labor, and thats a big break 🤔😳😉

Good points...
It has a period correct warn winch, what's that worth? .. the door scuffs are there... the scarcity of the smalls that are intact o this truck drive the value as a saver for me...
What do the door and cargo panels like? I smell a winner...

I don’t think a 1972 pig has power steering . Also would you guys paint it or just fix and put clear coat on it .
"In Bob we Trust"...
I had to recheck, but unless the owner has a PS pump for decoration, or my eyes are lying again, that sweet piggie has Toyota PS!!
If that's operable, my interest would move to the 'strong buy' position... That's worth what???? 1.5-2k??
Buy that pig!
And I just moved into Greenbeasts arena..

Has power steering 😯🤔😉
Right there, huh Bob?
See you guys thought I was lying! Bob’s got the eagle 👁
Who else saw that?

If you want one, a pretty good candidate if you got skills, Original owner, but did not keep up with issues. Still going to cost a bit just to drive, Im still at 4-5K.
If you get a bad case of swine flu, and you overpay for them all, your headed down a deep rabbithole
