I soaked the head bolts in Evaporust, which has them looking new:

The heads of the external headbolts get rust protection/paint and, since this is a racing motor, all of the fasteners get assembly grease on the threads and under the heads:

New dipstick tube. This has to be the worst Toyota sticker to get off 🤬

New main oil galley plug. Since this is a later block (85-ish +), this is a factory feature. The earlier blocks had a pressed in plug. We tap those for an NPT plug now after having a blowout on Nolen’s motor.
