Here I go now with an old friend needing a new home. I have decided to sell my 1965 swb 45 series. It's a great truck, starts every time, used as my daily driver for the past 1.5 years. I purchased it from a mudder in Oregon 3 years ago, and I am not sure of the origin of it, but looking at the minimal rust profile, it's surely a western truck. Quick run-down of what I have done to it, which is not much, other than drive and enjoy it! It has disc brakes in the front, drum in the rear.

-3B diesel from a 1985 Canadian BJ60
-Stock BJ60 radiator and fan
-Manual glow plug set up
-Manual fuel on/off cable
-4 speed (H41) and split transfer case from New Zealand
-1" shackle lift
-33" BFG all terrains on factory hubcap rims
-rebuilt alternator
-New stock front bumper

-The diesel conversion was done locally by a cruiser enthusiast that does this type of work on the side of his day job. The truck has lots of character, and by no means an Icon truck, but the patina and the feel is so tractor-ish, it's very awesome! The truck really wants to go to someone that appreciates these old rigs, which is why I didn't build it up...

-The bad:
-2 dime sized rust holes in the rear corners of the bed
-Bent fender near the steps
-some surface rust and trail pin striping from over the years

$16,500 OBO, and I am selling only to get another 4 door diesel cruiser... so I am not in a hurry.

call with any questions!

I called and left a message.

Joel is a great guy and this is a rare, beautiful cruiser. Not too many removable top SWBs left.

Best of luck buddy and hopefully I'll see you soon for those PTO parts.

Looks like a super nice truck. I would have loved to own that. Mine is no where near what that is and love driving my 45 more than anything I have ever owned.
Really wish I had that much extra cash I'd take it.

Joel...

Cant believe that you are selling ya baby..

If have a list of people that contacted me for mine a few months ago let em know if ya want their emails..

I always like looking at pics of ya FJ45

Thx, guys. It's a cool rig, runs on biodiesel as well as regular diesel with the tractor motor in it. Pumpkin, feel free to give out my email address to the people interested in your troopy. I might have a buyer, but never hurts to get backups.

Email address is vegdiesel@icloud.com

cheers!

It can't be healthy to day dream about this '45 so much! I find myself cruising over to this thread a couple times a day! Great looking rig. - JP

Update, cruiser sold yesterday and moved to Texas. New owner was not a mudder, but I encouraged him to join the community. I'm now back in an 80 series, but will be lurking in the 45 section as well...

cheers!
Joel
