Windshield, wipers, drivers smokers window all blew off on the way back from Califomia to Florida! New windshield as soon as I got home.

I have pieced together most of the missing pieces. Looks like I still need a tail gate hinge and chrome plug for the heater panel (see pic).

If any one following along here has an SD40 that would be correct for this truck and would like to sell let me know. I have a wanted add up, but figured I'd put it here as well. I'd love to find one and ship out to @FJ40Jim for some attention then install the fresh one. I am currently running the small window replacement single barrel.

I learned after losing a rear quarter window a few years ago, to remove them before the ride home! These poor rigs sit more than get driven and the weatherstrip is hard as a rock! I remember almost buying this 45!

No offense, but I'm glad you didn't!!!

Looks like this is a 01/65 truck as it is 22022.

Got the thermo bolt out. Actually went two for two on busted bolts. Not pretty but functional.

Tried to go full Grogan on this side but you never want to go full Grogan... Got pretty darn clean even though pictures don’t do it justice. Used a new to me degreaser safe on all materials and no water needed, spray and wipe off.

Finally had to open some boxes to see what the City Racer OEM pump, (Replacement I know apparently but the correct one is no longer available) Cruiser Outfitters water pump will look like.

And finally current state of affairs...started tearing off the carb in preparation for exhaust manifold gasket. Looks like spacer plater between carb and intake with vacuum port is shaky and cracked so I’ll have to work on that too.

Good job on the bolt removal, successful ugly counts! Out of curiosity what size bolt are you finding fits the thermostat housing mount holes and what is your engine serial number?

I order a new set from over land metric. I have not confirmed they fit yet, but should.
