thanks Gabe! The badge on yours is in surprisingly good shape. I see yours has an oval badge but the one I found was rectangular. Was that just a difference in years perhaps? I did a little more research last night and did see photos with both styles of badging. Just curious if anyone knows why.
Found this pic ... don’t think it was posted yet... and thought of you :)

looks like the 28’s also used bumperetts at the rear ;from the T-10 literature

Very interesting. I had been using the pink 28VA photos as my model for the rear so I figured no bumperettes no pintle hitch. might still be the way I go but this makes that choice a little tougher.

What was this off? I have never seen one from a FJ25. All the ones I've seen have FJ40 on them like yours. All my FJ25s except one had alternators. Other one had a GM generator. Do not have my FJ25 parts book with me to check the correct part number. Guessing would start with either BJ25 or FJ25.
1961 fj40. I have one off of my FJ25 as well. I can see if it has a different number

Happy to report I located another Asahi vacuum wiper as well as a set of 25 wheels for Lara today! Won’t have them in hand for a little while but I should be able to use this Asahi wiper to cast the missing switch pieces on the one that came with the truck. As a bonus it has one of the Asahi wiper arms too! Might have to try to replicate that somehow too I suppose so I have a pair, but won’t be able to engrave it.

also received front and rear FJ45LV seat frames last week thanks to @Tancruiser for pointing me in the right direction. The body should be back from sandblast finally this week so we will see how these fit in there. The battery access beneath the front seat will be the tricky part. Some businesses are reopening a little bit here so might start to make some progress soon. We have been spending a little time straightening out the chassis the past week or so.

Great scores, it took me forever to round up 5 wheels 1 at a time.

Body back from sandblast today, man is it rough! This is going to be quite a challenge, I'll get a bunch of pictures tomorrow. We are cleaning up the chassis and getting ready to send it off to sandblast and paint, one piece that's in really bad shape is one of the chassis engine mounts. I just posted up a wanted ad, if anybody has one of these let me know. It appears based on the part number (BJ20 51212) that it is probably 20-series specific, but if someone has one please let me know it would save us a lot of repair work (and believe me the body is going to keep us plenty busy).

Oh boy oh boy, this body is going to be a lot of work. There's very little that we won't have to touch. Trying to put on my happy face here but we've got months of work ahead of us thats for sure to get this thing right. Rear floor will need a big patch, the window sills are all really rough, and driver side door frames are the worst parts. None of these areas come as any surprise at all, but reality really sets in when it's staring back at you butt-nekkid! I hope the body doesn't bleed me dry before we have a chance to get it put back together! ;)

more crustiness. Reminding myself the end product will be that much sweeter given the condition! That second rear "hatch" panel will have to go away and will need to clean up / replace the gas filler cover. Entire rear quarters will probably just be cut out and made new. Ditto the lower dash. Happy thoughts...

Inside of the ash tray is pretty crusty from water seeping in through the hood hinge, that should be fun. One bright spot is the roof is in pretty good shape. All of the metal that's "good" is warped/beaten up so there's very very little that we won't have to touch. Deep breaths now...

It really isn’t anything i didn’t expect but for whatever reason seeing it in a single dull gray primer tone with scars exposed is definitely scarier. Maybe it’s because it’s no longer something to work on down the road, it’s the very next step? Just have to remind myself there’s no schedule and no rush. Do it right!

I still like it better than that red one that went on Bringatrailer!
