Jacked it up and turned the torsion bars 2 turns in on the driver side and went to the passenger side and got almost a full turn before it bottomed out. I am psitive the lines and flats are lined up on both sides.

Lowered it, drove it to settle it in, measured and both sides had come up another 1/2".

Measured droop and have a solid 4" on both side.

I'm just concerned about the difference of bolt showing from side to side and having one of them cranked all the way down even though it did t have much resistance as I was turning it.

Rear springs.

That's what I'm thinking. Slee's instructions have you rotating it off center by a certain count of splines. I'll drop them out and double check everything and see what is going on. I pulled them out to double check that they were on the flats and index lines but something doesn't seem right.

So dumb question here. What makes an 80 perform so much better on a trail than a 100? Is it the front and rear lockers? Is that just one of many things?

I see you can get one of these for a 100 and could drop it in mine to give it front and rear e-lockers and not have to fool with air lines and compressors: A10976 Harrop Eaton ELocker™

My 100 was locked three ways, it did pretty well despite the dumb mfer driving it. I am a dumbass for selling it.
Think I might buy it back from nephew and have WCT do a rebuild on it.

My take on the difference in platform and performance has more to do with the live axle and available travel which comes with said configuration. Adding a front locker will help overcome the travel issue by keeping the wheels moving forward, but the lack of articulation is going to be hard to overcome due to the way the t-bar suspension works. The t-bars also make lifting above a certain point for larger tires more difficult.

As a whole comparing the platforms is very apples and oranges. They both are good at what they do, but they are created for different end goals. The ifs rigs, while still stouter then most anything else, were built more for comfort while the 80s are still more utility. That's why they still sell SA rigs elsewhere in the world.

Exactly. Trying to figure out how to prevent that from happening again. Leo was able to walk right up the same trails I slipped on and his 80 was fairly stock triple locked.

More seat time will solve all of that. Take it from me don't lock the front until 100% have too. It has been expensive for what little use.

Don't always follow the guy in front if not in the same type rig also.
