FYI: I carved up some plate I had laying around into a couple recovery points...and welded 'em onto the TJM...right over the bracket that connects to the frame.

Now you do have a front recovery point!Who's next?
Cheers,
You didn't carve up a couple extras "practicing" did you?
That setup looks really nice. The lights are a nice touch too, and cover the bling holes.
Any reason you didn't weld the recovery points directly to the front?
While I have you 100 experts... am I destined to upgrade my OME springs to Heavy when I get the Slee rear installed? I don't load too heavy on trips, but the bumper itself is a beast.
You are right... between the lights and the points it does "shorten" the look. My only concern, maybe unjustified, would be how the bumper held up to the pressure pulling from the top vs. the front but I'm sure you've used yours with no issues?
I have the OME Med lift so based on that, I'll put the bumper on, readjust the T-Bars, align, and see how it rides. Sounds like I may be fine with what I have. I doubt I'll pack like you do!
Thanks for the info.
Only issue I have to work through is there are two of the captured bolts on the bottom front frame that are shot... one is stripped, and one the bolt broke off.![]()
They are (or should be) attaching both the front bumper and the winch mount to the truck. Not sure how to deal with that, but until I have to use the winch it isn't a problem so I have some time to work through it.
Questions:
1. Paint match the sliders?
Sorry, I guess I should have read ahead...hope the picture at least helps.
