Going to drop my pan and change my transmission fluid. Will clean the metal screen of the valve body also while the pan is down. My question is how many quarts of transmission fluid does the A442F hold? What type of automatic transmission fluid is everyone using or the best ATF to use...

I am looking to upgrade the 3-speed Tranny in my 1972 FJ40 with a 5-speed set up. Still have the stock F motor. Anyone have a H55F or NV4500 or any other options that will work well? Appreciate any help/advice you could offer. I am located in NY.

I thought this was a standard item as on the LX470 but I guess not. Can ne1 confirm or am I looking in the wrong place? Should be in front of the AC condenser correct?

Hey guys I have a 72 parts car and it looks like someone did a 2F swap on it. How do I tell if the transmission is 3 vs 4 speed? Is there a way to tell by serial number without shifting it? The shifter has a lot of play and it's hard to tell the pattern. Pic attached
