Hello, I'm looking for a hardtop for my 1978 fj40. Glass isn't necessary, but would prefer all other parts to be very good to excellent condition. I have a hard top but it needs more work than I want to tackle.
Thank you!
I rolled my 1978 original paint fj40 with the hard top on. I'm needing a windshield frame to get back on the road topless. Original paint red would be awesome. Also need a fiberglass top, driver side hard top panels, and a driver side door. I'd buy a complete hard top and doors if I could find...
I have never seen an exterior light on a hardtop but someone recently posted a picture of a 40 in their local dealership with one and the same one is on this 1980 that sold a while back at a Pebble Beach auction. Can someone shed some "light" on it?
The hard top on my 89 LJ73 disappeared while being transported from Orlando to Tennessee. Looking for a good used one to replace. I see custom soft tops on eBay going for $4700 which is stupid money.
Currently in Jacksonville Arkansas but heading to Crawfordville FL with the parts Saturday. Rather not ship but will with buyer paying.
1975 FJ40 drivers door complete with glass, regulator, latches, ect. Has rust on bottom.
Left and right ambulance doors, both have rust on bottom. Complete...
Hi everyone!
I have a 1974 FJ40 that I've been working on remaking a hard top for. I bought the 40 off a owner on here search "project red dawn" that saved it from the junk yard, prepped it to be a topless beach rig, then sold it. He did a lot of sheet metal work, freshened accessories, lot of...
So I am trying to install the hardtop. And I never had the metal piece that rivets to the fiberglass lid . I got that piece but it does not seem to want to fit 🤔. But I really do not know how it is supposed to fit . I am just trying to go off old holes right now
I purchased this upper panel side packing from City Racer @Racer65 and trying to figure out how it’s installed. It seems much longer than needed. This is my first hard top and am apparently not smart enough to figure it out. Pics below.
Guys, is it possible/safe to only remove the white cap of my FJ40's hardtop? I need to re-do the headliner, and it seems like it would be much easier with the roof upside down on saw horses. I didn't know if there would be enough lateral stability for the windows without the white cap in...
I'm restoring a 1963 corrugated hard top. The sides and roof are in great shape, but the drip rails are toast. I've reached out to a couple of the main venders who sell the kits, but they are all for the newer hard top. Does anyone know of a vender who makes them? Looking like I will have to...
I'm thinking seriously of selling the hard top from my FJ. It is solid and rust free and so is the hatchback. There are some holes in it that have been drilled and a former owner put the weird diamond plate covers over the openings for the side windows, the corner glass is good and same with the...
Hello again!
I am looking for a hardtop in decent shape or soft top bows. I figured I would post here before springing for something from an outfitter. I have a 1964 FJ40 that has some aftermarket bows on it for now, but they don't seem to provide enough clearance for my doors, so I am looking...
Selling a full Troopy Hard Top setup pulled from an HJ47. These are original Toyota pieces that are currently sitting on a rolling dolly.
Listing includes White Top Cap, Hard top Sides, and all glass. Side glass includes sliding windows. See actual pics below; fab work needed for rear...
$60 OBO
It needs work, but not bad overall. Put some POR on the rusty parts to keep it from getting worse. For rear hatch style early 70’s cruiser.
