Doing front knuckle rebuild on 1974 FJ40. Obtained 1976 FJ55 front knuckles and calipers from mud member. Cleaned and painted knuckles, hubs, Aisen lockers and now ready to install. Rebuild kit and bearings from Cruiser Outfitters.

Hello, I have looked a lot and all I can find is front disc brake conversion kits which wont work obviously since 77's came with factory disc brakes. Anyone know where I can get some upgraded rotors and calipers? the stock rotors are shot and same with the calipers. Any help would be great! Thanks!

I have 1982 FJ43, imported from Columbia, and want to convert the front wheels to disc brakes. The stock drums are leaking fluid and are in bad shape all around. Does anyone know where to get either (a) replacement parts for the drum brakes, or (b) conversion kit to disc brakes?

Hi, I own a 1980 European version FJ40 with front Drum brakes. I need to replace brake pads and drums. My pads are 3" wide (is this the standard) and drums have fins. I cant find these drums. Cant I just use whats available in stores on the web? Thank you for all your comments....
