My idea is to find a 2F engine and rebuild it as time and money permits then install in in my 40 and find a home for the F that is in there now.

1982 2F and 4 speed transmission with only 123k on them. Running before I pulled it. Still has all smog systems. $1200 for the engine and $300 for the transmission OBO. I can put it on a pallet and it to a Fatenal for shipping. I have a video of it running I can email.

My 77 Fj45 has an SM420 transmission and I've bought a H42 to swap back into it as the 420 is in bad shape. Does anyone have insight on modifications that would have been done to get the Chevy trans in there? Or could the h42 be bolted back it into the housing and go from there? Thanks in advance!
