I’m not sure if this hissing (aka air spewing) is normal coming from the jet in the primary Venturi … I took off my air cleaner assembly to look - just sounds really loud. And maybe my ears all the sudden are just attuned to it or it’s new which I think. I was attempting to tune the carb a bit...
Looking for a hood within a reasonable distance from Washington DC mero area. Mine is just beat on the front and I don't
want to mess with repairing the front lip and corners.

I have reviewed other "engine fuse" issue threads on this site, but they are slightly different than my issue. When I turn my key to accessory mode, the engine fuse blows immediately. I can still start the engine and it seems to run fine. I have limited experience with auto...
I've read up on the existing threads, but can't find anything on slop on an OEM PS system. The factory PS was installed when I bought my 76 and there's been a huge amount of slop, even after fully adjusting the gearbox screw. Below is a link to a video of my son rocking the steering wheel back...

Hi forum people,
Haven't been able to do anything on my truck since last fall, outside of small jaunts around town. Just getting to my 1st oil change since I picked up the money vacuum last summer (yes, I know, I waited too long). I'm following the instructions but am not 100% confident I know...
Hey all, slowly working through the restoration of my '76 and taking a moment to appreciate how great the rear bed channel support looks. Reminds me of a stack of wet papers. Any thoughts on the replacement channels they're selling online? Suggestions on the process?
For sale is a 1976 FJ40 Landcruiser, mostly original with a very solid frame and moderately rusty body. Milage is 19268, not actual. Original 2f, and 4 speed H42, with power brakes and front discs. Purchased by me over 3 years ago, I have put time mostly into getting this Landcruiser...
I recently acquired a 76 model LC with maybe the original 4 speed. PO installed a 350 w/Advance Adapters conversion kit. It appears the top shifter housing is missing the opposing "pin" which helps to secure the shifter. Any suggestions on how to repair?
Thanks
Hi everyone, I have a 1972 FJ40 for part out. It has a 350 SBC that was swapped in during its life. It has a Warn front end & appears to retain its complete drivetrain. It would serve better as a parts car but am open to selling it as a whole as well.
Just received the best Christmas present ever, a 76 FJ40 soft top. Bought it a few months back but was sitting in Seattle until the right time to ship it down to Texas.
looks pretty here next to the 97 Series 80, and a real baby in terms of miles, the 80 has 350k miles, and the FJ40 has 71k...
Hi all!
I am new to this forum and already surprised by the amount of info here. I just purchased a 1976 FJ40 from a TLF auction (TFL is a youtube channel). The FJ is currently located in Colorado but will get it shipped to Northern California. Looks like the truck had lived in California for...
Hey guys, I just listed my 1976 FJ40 for sale on Marketplace if anyone is interested. I've had it for around 7 years and have done tons of upgrades and tried to keep it as original as possible. I have hundreds of pics, so let me know if I can answer any questions. Hate to sell it, just out of...
I will try to list all the meaningful details below:
1968 FJ40 runs and drives, clear 1968 title. (located in zip code 53406)
1976 FJ40 drive train (factory disc brake front end and the 4-speed). Not sure if the rear axle assy is 68 or 76. I could take a look at the rear drive shaft flange to...
So after lurking around and keeping an eye out for a 40 not ever sure that I would actually do it I finally found one and pulled the trigger on it. Thanks to the classified section on here (thanks @oakweb, I hold you responsible haha) I booked a flight out San Diego and after a long day of...
This original 76 FJ40 is currently listed on CL. Link should be in posting. I have been reluctant to list but life has a way of changing. I am the second owner. It was originally purchased in Northern California and was used at a duck lodge to get around the property (do you see the gun rack...
