Universal hand throttle cable for sale $20. Brand new, never used. Dash mounted, knob turn design regulates RPMs for doing jumpstart, winching etc. 35.5 inches long, waterproof. Easy to install. Have been mounted on many different Toyotas. $20 each, I'll pay shipping.

Thanks IH8Mud!!

let me know how people are mounting these

Would you post pics of what you are selling? I might be interested but not if it's the same one NAPA sell for $15.95.

Hope Nathan doesn't mind. This is what he sold me. I liked it so much I bought a second one just in case. The knob is threaded - you rotate it to get maybe 3/8" or 1/2" travel. You'll need to fab a simple connector at the carb. Adjustment is basically infinite; you can fine tune to within a few rpm. I like mine a lot. Piece of cake to raise the idle to wherever you need. Not safe or intended for cruise control, except maybe on trails in low range.

If NAPA sells the same one and you live close, that's an option. Round trip to NAPA for me is 25 miles and an hour. $20 shipped works out fine for me. HTH

i dont think he is making a killing on these if it is the same. with shipping paid hes making a buck maybe? fine by me, ill order one if differ from napa, i like this one

The closest version to mine that Napa sells is $39.00 I do not get these from Napa. These are originally designed to warm-up ultra-lite aircraft while on the tarmac. I got them directly from Uncle, an avionics engineer. Theo, I appreciate the pics and nice words. Thanks again for the repeat business. I used to have pictures posted here, yet they won't work for some reason. These exact cables have been installed on many different vehicles. They work great, never had one break or fail. These are lined with teflon, fully waterproof. The knob is precise, the main reason I like mine. A pullout throttle cable may accidentally peg the throttle. With these, rpms adjusts as you turn the knob "incrementally". For a typical install, cable end needs to be mounted in fully extended position. Mounting them may differ depending on vehicle. Usually they are mounted in-line with the existing carb or throttle linkage. When mounting on throttle linkage or carb bracket, the cable is designed to slacken when standard throttle cable is depressed. Some folks use a lead sinker, electrical terminal or throttle "lock stop" to mount cable end. You may have to fab a small bracket on carb end to bolt mounting tab to. Usually a hole needs to be drilled through firewall and a small hole drilled in dash or fab/bolt an L shaped bracket for knob end. Basically if you have a drill, nearby hardware store and a few spare minutes you can install this. It really is a great mod.

E-mail me with any more questions.

Thanks IH8MUD
