It is not the same. The NAPA one looks like it was built for tractors and has twist type "T" handle and metal conduit that is not sleeved with a liner. It rusts like crazy.

This one looks nice.

I forgot about these. I was wondering if any one has pics of it installed, and a pic of this "fab a simple connector at the carb".

I have had one of these on my mini for a couple of years now and it works perfectly. Don't recall if I got it from Nathan or not, but it appears to be the same unit.

Need to see if I can adapt it to the 80. If I can, I'll be ordering another one.

There was never a mention of "fab a simple connector at the carb" in my listing. Although the entire install is basic. I stated "You may have to fab a small bracket on carb end to bolt mounting tab to." All installs vary greatly upon the vehicle model and *your* desired method of install. Look at pic #2 in Theo's post, the bracket shown is the cable mounting tab. That needs to be secured. For IH Scouts and several years J@#P CJ's, no additional mounting bracket is needed for auto trans equipped vehicles as mounting tab bolts exactly onto existing kickdown cable bolt hole if bolting onto carb end. That may or may not be the case in your install. Some folks desire to install this set-up directly onto gas pedal. Either way works great. Carbed/throttle body injected vehicles have different configurations. These have been installed on numerous model vehicles. Friday I installed one on a 1940's era Jeep flatfender in 15 minutes. I would consider this is a very easy install. If you are capable of changing your oil, this modification can be accomplished. This is one of the best mods I've ever done to my vehicle. I use mine near daily. Any other questions, I'll be happy to answer...

I used to accept paypal. As a very small seller, paypal is not convenient. I've had funds "frozen" in my paypal account. Why should I have to pay paypal a commission? Way too much spam and spoof e-mails from paypal. No seller protection whatsoever. There is a post office in every town. Postal money orders cost less than $1.00. Postal money orders can be cashed right at post office as I send out your hand throttle. If I were a business doing volume sales I'd surely get a business paypal account. No need right now. Thanks.

Vernier style part number at Napa is #7311128 it's $112 at your local Napa. I don't have the current part number for the $39.00 version.

does anyone have a pick of this hooked to the carb and one hooked to the gas pedal? I ordered one and just want to get an idea of which route to go. On my 60 it looks like I can just plug it to the bracket on the pedal, but I'm just not to sure if the length is going to be right since it's not OEM.
Thanks

Length is fine under the dash on a 60. It might require some light fab/bracket making but will hookup just fine and the length is OK. I bought one from Nathan a few years ago. Everything as promised. The only thing is it is not safe for using with the vehicle in motion in the slightest. Because you cannot turn it off quickly. As you turn the knob, it pulls the cable in, and vice versa. Not that using any throttle cable is safe for using while moving but you cannot turn it off quickly. Just an FYI... With my stock HJ60, it came with the throttle cable and it was a bitch to set right as Nathan mentioned but I did use it here and there for cruise control, taking shoes off while driving etc...

Stock push-pull cables are down right dangerous. Thats why these knob turn cables work great. Built in screw sets and holds rpms precisely, adjusts incrementally with a mere turn of the knob. No chance of accidentally pegging the throttle. I do not advise using hand throttles as a cruise control. Hand throttles for sale $20 (Shipping included)

Thanks
