I have a Cabin that is free for us to use. It is close to the trails. About 3 miles from the turnoff on HWY 107.

It looks like we will be having a camping group who want to camp on the trails the whole time. Us old farts will be staying where it's warm at night. Most likely we will meet the camping group on the trail Sat morning and ride to a desingated turn off and head back to the Cabin for food and fun. Camping will also be allowed around the house. There is also a unexplored trail right beside the Cabin that might make a good night run.

Details to follow in the next few weeks.

Please respond if you can make this event. There is no charge for the event. It will be a BYOB and F (food) event. There is a kitchen and a grill outside.

About the Cabin:

It's a friend of mine. I go up there and help keep the house maintained a couple times a year. Has heat/AC wood burning fire place. ( I will get the wood) I'll be taking the small bedroom downstairs. Chuck has reserved one bed upstairs there is one room that has two double beds Ken has one of those. There are plenty of places to crash in the house. (I have decided I will take one of the beds upstairs and let someone who comes with their wife or girlfriend take the bedroom.)

There is a small stream for fishing in front of the house. There is a trail off the driveway we will be exploring Friday or Sat night. Town is about a 15 min trip up the road to Super Walmart and restaurants and such. If you want to camp outside the cabin that is also fine.

I'm in. Not sure about the camping vs. cabin. I'll see what people are wanting to do.
 
Well I talk with Alex today (concretejungle) and he is not going to be able to make this trip due to his job and cruiser being down (sounds like we need a HAMON up there, hint hint)

SO I need someone to step up to the plate and volunteer to to help plan this trip. If we get enough interent in the camping on the trails we will also need someone to take charge for that part.

I am checking on the dates, but if they work I will probably camp. I can help organize that part if need be. I will let you know in the next few days.
 
I have some good maps of the area and would be more than happy to go over them with anyone who is considering leading a group up........ I know the trails up there can a little confusing since the are so many random off shoots.

But it Matt can make the ride, I think you guys will be set he knows the area....
 
Well, not official as of today, but will be a member by then...and am hoping to attend but need to double check the dates. Will probably be camping, but if it looks to be any colder than the last trip I may call a patch of cabin floor.
 
I'm in....yeah thats right! I'm finally going to make it to a run. My calendar is open and i'm ready to hit the trails( well I am but I don't know about "mo").
 
I'm definitely in. Would like to take part in the camping, but I'm no expert on these parts, so not sure if I should lead. I can read a map fairly well and I have a Garmin handheld, so if no one else steps up, I'll take lead. Just let me know Marshall.
 
Marshall thanks for the offer! I'm doing work on mo when ever i get the chance. Right now just getting some new plugs and wires and what not. I need a dag gum axel re-build, but i kinda want to save that for the spring over. It will all come in due time..........

Oh and let me know what i can do to assist in planning this trip.

I checked with the wife last night. I can go.....I will be up @ Cullowhee this weekend. (I will be leading the group.) So...hopefully I will know a good bit more after this weekend. But I would like some help with everything either way. I havent really planned anything for a car club type thing just youth group and school stuff.
