60 series land cruisers are ground switched. This means they always have power on the common and the headlight switch alters the ground for hi and low beams.
More common these days is common ground switched power. So many of these kits use wiring and relays to convert to common ground and...
It’s a steel for the seller not the buyer. I paid $1200 for a complete but rusty fj62. Didn’t run but had title and lowing mile 3fe. Nice clean manual crank door panels that swap into my 60 nicely.
The machine shop usually gets the horns positioned properly on the manifold and then tack welds them in place. They might have another method but the intake and exhaust all get surfaced together
Couple more thoughts…when you did the knuckles what was the final torque on your wheel bearings. Also when you feel the vibration where do you feel it? Does the whole truck shake? Or does just the steering wheel or shifter etc?
Lastly if your rear drive shaft is out and the front hubs are...
A speed related vibration is almost always wheel or unjoint related. A bad alignment will not cause a vibration directly but it can cause irregular wear in tires or cupping etc.
I honestly would pull all your wheels and dismount the tires. Spin each wheel on the balanced and make sure the...
A rust free vehicle with a clean chassis and nice paint is worth 12k even if every mechanical component is shot. However a pristine mechanical truck with a lot of rust is not worth 12k. IMO. In summary look thoroughly for rust and especially in the expensive areas like pillars, roof gutters...
A desmogged 60 will pass inspection in Vermont. There is no emission testing on old vehicles and most shops won’t even notice a cat missing. Newer cars don’t have an em mission sniffer test but the ecu had to pass a validation test to show all the emission components are working. But on cars...
One note on headers not mentioned. Headers should help the exhaust flow more efficiently bjt the intake is so restrictive that there isn’t a huge need for headers. Now if you did the 3fe head conversion with the 3fe intake you would see more improvement with headers. Or just swap in a gm 4.2 6...
You might be able to get the vin out of the files of the state you had it registered in. From there a google search or a carfax report would bring up sales and locations but may not pinpoint where it is now
