These days getting a spare 60 as a parts donor is a valuable investment. I’ve got a super rusty 62 that’s basically holding spares for trim and glass etc.

Are your brackets stiff? It looks like they might be a little springy if its just flat stock steel? Otherwise you did a nice job of making them.

Converting to lap belts in the rear just requires you to get a lap belt. You will then just use the two lower mounts and ignore the upper one. As for non retractable shoulder belts…I am sure you could have something custoM made but I don’t see what the point would be over the retractable ones

It’s not worth putting money into the stock engine beyond a basic rebuild. Though even a basic rebuild on a 2f gets expensive in a hurry. A V8 swap can easily cost less and will yield a more drivable vehicle in the end and you can still do a sniper to keep things simple.
