I thought this might be a fairly straightforward install, but as I line up the rear mud guards, one of the bolt holes is floating. Is there a part that I’m missing? I have the factory fender flares with, what I expect are, the correct mud guards. 76607-90A01 and 76608-90A01.

Has anyone else got this set up with these mud guards installed on the rear? Can you see from the phots of the inner wheel well what I’m missing?

You are missing a piece of the flare . Clearly been cut away. Right where the 90 degree angle cuts are made the flare extends a bit inward with a raised /thinkened portion .That is where the hole in the rubber flap should line up. Zoom in on the picture of miy HJ61 and you will understand

How well does the body survive under the flare? Seems those often just become debris traps and rust accelerators

Thanks for this. Do you have a closer photo? I can quite make it out in that light. I guess i can just make some kind of bracket similar to the piece that is missing

Maybe these pictures will will answer your question. I used a speednut M8 ( shiny metal part between rubber and flare ) on the flare to create a better fixation.
