I've been scouring the web for the outer most diameter of an FJ60 flywheel. I came across an older thread where someone measured the diameter to the joint between the ring gear and the flywheel but I don't know how tall the ring gear is. I'm guessing the dimension is close to 14" but looking to see if anyone has a flywheel on a shelf they could measure for me.

Let this thread go to the fishes as I realized a better path forwards

2F flywheel. Are these the measurements you want?

No it was concerning an engine swap but I figured out a better path. Are timing marks an often requested item?
Probably not from anyone but me haha. I know for some of the more popular American hot rods you can find printable flywheel timing marks. Modern programmable timing lights mean those aren't really needed anymore I guess, but I've always wanted to slap a printout on the flywheel for fun anyway.

When I used to do more stuff with Saabs we routinely removed about 5 lbs off the outer diameter of the flywheel. The timing marks went with it. We’d place another flywheel next to it and paint the increments on the modified wheel using white out iirc. 0,5,10,15,20 iirc. I think they idled at 16 deg iirc. The whiteout lights nicely under the timing light strobe. But it’s not as pretty as a nice sticker could be.

Makes me think…..machining a template that matches the curvature and aligns in the bb or something might make putting new marks on with a scribe or dremel better looking.
