If the brake master has been replaced, the booster dowel length needs to be verified. If it's too long, it can continually apply the brakes, heating them up. Over time while parked, this pressure can self relieve.
Commonly when the seal goes bad, the bearing is too. Reusing a already crushed pinion spacer has never been a long term fix for me. IMHO, better to get the third entirely rebuilt.

So maintenance wise, The 62's auto can be very expensive and problematic when in need of repair. If your first gen was a 22r motor repairs are considerably cheaper as well. The 3.0 has it's potential issues. Axles are essentially identical price wise. IMHO, costs are similar till you get to...
