found this video pretty interesting, apparently this is an issue on a few yota models.

The body itself had a crack, the solenoids were reused as yota doesn't ship these with new solenoids these days, my guy mentioned that most all other makes include new solenoids with the body valve. The insane thing he told me was that I literally got the last bv in the country for lord knows...

The valve body replacement did the trick, cost all in was $1220, tranny shifts through all gears much smoother now.

had my order canceled three times now, apparently they are out of stock and no eta on when they come back in stock, you can always buy the transmission assembly which would include this part, but that costs just shy of 3k, waiting on my guy to see if he can source it somehow and will decide...

My specialist shop said the body valve assembly is most likely the culprit, mind you he does a lot of cruisers, sequioas and tundras and this is the first time he saw a 2010 with this kind of issue . FWIF our transmissions are engineered to go into million mile territory so a failure this early...

Is what my specialist indie shop recommended replacing. Ordered today should have it early next week.

Let me know how that goes, the Lexus dealer was quite heavy handed, overcharged for the diagnostic (pretty certain they did not test solenoids) and hit me with a new tranny plus labor bill which is just exorbitant and won't be happening. Will be taking it to an indie tranny shop on Wednesday see...
