BaT is effectively the same as For Sale, just note BaT or eBay or whatever in the title and link in the ad
OK, did it right then. Just FYI, it does force you to put in a price so I put in $99,999. Obviously the price changes during an auction. Something to consider for future posters linking out to an auction. Thank you.

I’m selling an H55 combo that could go into a lot of different trucks, but have to pick just one. I expect a lot of folks will run into the same issue. Can you make it so we can select more than one?

Unfortunately, not an option....but when people use classifieds search, they can use keywords (h55, fj49, fj60, etc) and can also select multiple models to search from.

Lots of things fit multiple models, pick the one it came from at the factory. That tells buyers what it IS, not everything it fits. You can mention other options in the description.

In this case, the H55 was most likely factory installed in a 70-series. Buyers know this, and no buyer is going to hunt for the H55 using a GX470 prefix (well, we hope not anyways) However, a good fab guy could install that trans in just about anything. So where it came from is critical, not the dozens of options it could maybe be installed in.

What about "multiple" or "universal" as an option? I'm thinking of the light bar that just got posted for 200 Series, but it really fits anything.

hmmm....good thought....

I'd still think H55 should be listed based on what it came in originally, but light bar is a good "universal" example.

Old system was great imho but onward and upward, thanks @woody for putting in all the time to advance the site! I did really like the list only method of scrolling w/out images that was available in the old system ( when the parts images are loud or distracting it can be very hard to look at the group and I need to skip past for visual sanity — eg. all the new parts listed on a yellow tote top today — I can’t even focus on the text and must skip down to space and images that are easy on the brain …. Anyway— are there gallery options available to switch to a view without the pics? The list w/ thumbnails at left is a good start but I’d be after a list only option ( if one exists )

There isn't...yet....I've thought the same thing....I've got a few items on the list for the developer, that's included

Thanks @woody

Quick question, as someone who basically keeps a constant thread maintained for 80 series part-outs, a nice feature to avoid getting burried deep under a pile of new threads was that any new comment would bump my thread, this was cool as it helped with exposure and sometimes (more often then not) i would lose or miss an alert in my email but see my thread was bumped. It seems the new system doesn’t quite work the same way, although it looks like there is a “bump” option to kick it up, what should be the etiquette for that? I used to bump maybe once a month or every couple few weeks, because I get it, we don’t all want to see stale/stagnant/same threads at the top all the time — just from a hobbyist here who tries to set as many people up with life changing parts as possible hahah

I believe bumps are limited once to every 5 days....maybe 7....I'll make sure it's one of those.

Also, check your Preferences, since you can track comments/questions and get Alerts when those occur.

Is there a way to filter against the vehicle you are looking for as a buyer within given subsections?

As an example, I go Classifieds > Parts Classifieds > Body - Chassis > ??

I may be missing it, but I see each ad has a pre-fix (ex: 60-series), but I don't see a way to filter out only the 60-series parts. That's just an example, but you could filter on whatever else, too. Maybe filter on just "wanted" ads to see what people are looking for and see if I have a match in the garage, etc.

EDIT: I searched all over the page before I posted this and of course found "Filters" at the top immediately after posting this. It just didn't jump out at me. Whoops! I dig it!

OR...once you are in that Classifieds section, you just click the "80-series/LX450" olive prefix button. Insta-filter.

Or, from that section, click "wanted" to filter in that section for just wanted.

More granular (Ie: wanted/60-series) does require using the Filter triggers.

Noticed that the some ads have an expiration date? Does the sell select that option? Does an add disappear at that point? The ability to see adds for 5 or 10 years ago was / is useful in determining a good price or not. :meh:
Will the old classified be available for a period of time? Months -years?

Users can set an expiration date during ad creation. Ads should always remain visible, sold, expired, or otherwise. Ads can be renewed once expired (Ie: renew and drop the price). Ads can be bumped every 7 days.

My plan is for the archived Classified threads to be available forever. (unless the internet implodes....)

@woody not sure how much of this you want reporting on but i’ve had a few messages generated from my new ad today and they all come into my dm inbox with the same message title re:[Parting etc] then my ad title name.

I see how this is automated, and the contact seller link automatically loads that title name — but for me at the end of a week i’ll have a dozen or two messages all with the same title, makes a bit challenging to see and recall what each person messaged me about, any reason to un-automate that step and have the inquiring individual include a title to the message that would probably be different between each individual? I see they can probably delete that automated title and type in their own but who’s gonna do that haha.

I can obviously deal with whatever outcome you choose but if you’re still in Beta with this and keeping score, its sort of a nuisance for us “parting out” guys— for any one else with a single item its probably a non issue.

The automated aspect makes it challenging.... since any change effects EVERY ad inquiry, parting out or otherwise. hhmmm....

I will say the automated message content is formal and dumb....editing that now....

A thought....use Direct Message rules to Label those conversations (using phrases), then re-label to "sold" once that discussion is complete....
