V8 conversion Transfer Case Adaptor – 6L80E to LandCruiser 80 / 100 Series Auto (HF2A Case) $1,000
New these are $1364 plus shipping.
I do not have the dowel, but I’m guessing you can get one from advanced adapters.
I bought this locally for $1000 last year when I was looking for a 6L 80...
Indeed, it is. Great write up.
I used a small screwdriver in between some of the slots in the back to help me twist it. It only has to twist a small bit.
Here’s a picture of all the components. The light socket is the first thing I twisted out.
Why do you need more clearance? The transmission should not be moving up and down much at all (maybe a tiny bit of torq rotation transmitted from the engine?) and the plate sure will not move under normal driving. Even if it was to flex up a bit (not likely) from a big hit, it would be a smooth...
Just gotta laugh when I read a post I missed that would have saved me hours of grief figuring this out!
Yep, my 1996 LX 450 was also backfeeding to the B-W starter solenoid wire from the cruise control ECU. Apparent purpose back in 1996 was to cut cruise control is the driver turned the key to...
Is it any issue that since the G-L wire is always 12+, the GM ECU TCC input will always be getting 12v even when the truck is turned off? As opposed to using an ignition on 12v source.
Clean intake. Very nice.
I want to achieve the same intake setup.
I just ordered 3.5" to 3.75" adapter from air cleaner to MAF (I will cut off the flanges and trim the rolled lip as needed) and 3.5" - 4" from MAF to 4" inlet pipe. I already have a 4" elbow. Do those sizes map onto what you used?
It clears the cable ok. The side to side difference of the pivot point and different lever-arm geometry means it likely will not fully open the valve without modification. I;'d say it will open 90%. I will report back once I get it running.
I'm optimistic this will work and its a nice clean routing.
I may have to adjust or modify the bracket so the heater valve opens fully. I can’t report on that until I’m driving this thing in cold weather. otherwise everything fits. I trimmed the hose a little bit
Stumbled on and stoked for this concept.
I am going to try and make this work in a 1996 LX 450 FZJ80 to 5.3 LS swap. Water pump heater hot LS outlet and return are engine front right. Having the valve inlet on right may be nice.
I bought the valve today and test fit it. I had to slightly...
