I had the same issue a while back on an aluminum radiator I bought for a previous truck. I went to a local radiator shop and they let me dig through their bin of random fittings until I found what I needed. You might have luck trying a similar approach.
Perfect! I just got back from a Salt River rafting trip in NE AZ, and the weather was perfect and the flowers were starting to pop. Everything from cactus flowers to bighorns to cardinals to a momma hummingbird feeding babies.
Is there a gap to the body? If not then I might be inclined to cut the top off the slider brackets so it doesn't transmit vibration to the cabin. Looks awesome!
If can get some pics of how it turns out I would appreciate it! I have considered plug welding studs to plates and then welding the plates to the frame, to eliminate the clearance issues but keep them removable for repainting.
It sounds like these aren't really catalytic converters, right? Does it just look like a cat and uses the spacers to not throw codes? They obviously aren't using much or any platinum at that price point. They look sweet and my cats are rattly, but I'm not sure if I want to deal non compliant...
Yes, that's what worked for me. Similar driving in a helicoil.
ETA: after thinking about it, I can't remember if the key was to screw it in or wind it up so the diameter was smaller. But you'll figure it out pretty fast.
I had the same thing last year, and just needed a half a can of refrigerant. As others have said, I would start there. I have all of the parts on hand to fully rebuild my system, but I haven't had any issues since last year.
