I’m about to drop around $700 on new door weatherstrips for my ’99 LX470 planning to do all four doors, both the door side and the body side. Before I pull the trigger, I wanted to check if anyone else has done this and felt it was worth it.

I’ve been getting some wind noise from the driver’s front door. I already tried bending the top corner back in since it was bowed out, and I taped around the windshield trim to rule that out. The seals on mine are pretty soft and worn out after 26 years, so I’m thinking they’re just not sealing like they should anymore.

I confirmed the part numbers on PartSouq and it looks like they’re the right ones for 1999–2003 LX470/LC100.

  • RH (passenger front): 67861-60100 superseded by 67861-60101
  • LH (driver front): 67862-60100 superseded by 67862-60101
  • RH (passenger rear): 67871-60070
  • LH (driver rear): 67872-60070
Body-mounted (gray)
  • RH (passenger front): 62311-60090-B0

  • RH (passenger rear): 62331-60031-B0
  • LH (driver rear): 62332-60031-B0
Thanks for any feedback!

Check to see if the Serra Toyota 25% sale is still on. With free shipping and no state sales tax it may save you a lot.

ETA: I just checked and it's going for another two days.

Thanks! The $700 is with Serra 25% off deal. I normally order from Impex Japan but had to pay about 53% of order total in tariffs. I imagine it would be the same from PartSouq.

I've been wondering this as well, Partsouq comes from UAE but impex is Japan. Does UAE also face tariffs and if so , how much? I'm starting at muffler prices lately

As for your door seal swap, not much advice here. Mine are pretty worn out and ripped from my dog in some spots. Why are you replacing, too much wind noise?

Everything coming into the US now has tariffs.

UAE has a country specific tariff; then car parts are 25%; then steel and aluminum parts are another 25%.

If door seals are original, a quick fix is to clean the seals AND mating surfaces really well. Then rub some silicone grease onto the seal surfaces and let it sit, preferably overnight, so the seals can soak it in. Wipe off the excess the next day. Works best when it's hot out or use a heat gun to speed up the process. This will restore the seals to some degree. Multiple applications of the grease are necessary sometimes.

Obviously new seals will have better results, albeit at higher cost.
