Thanks!

Bob grew up about six blocks from his shop - in beautiful Marin County. I doubt if he's going too far!

His shop is like a toy store - the guy has an amazing collection of tools and parts culled from 30 years of stereo, alarm, etc. installs. I cannot imagine him moving down the street, much less across the country.

In the very northern end of Idaho i would recommend
Six Star Automotive
909 HWY 2 West
Sandpoint, Idaho 83864
208-255-2955
info@sixstarauto.net

I have taken my cruisers there for a wide variety of things and gotten great service. Ask for Paul (owner)

I know of this shady guy in Greenville, SC goes by the name Trollhole. He does Land Cruisers. All kinds of things. His specialty is tuning and rebuilding motors. He only takes one vehicle in at a time. His real name is Marshall Shepherd. You can reach this guy at 864-414-0563. He's also known to hoard parts.

Not one person has posted about Kurt... who works at Specter Off Road. This guy has been working on LCs since 1979.

Kurt is very fair in his pricing. Whatever is wrong with your 40 or 60- he's fixed it at least a dozen times-if not 100 times.

He also answers the tech line at SOR from 4-6pm M-F. He can give you great advice on the DIY projects. He's not one to hang out and chat- just straight to the point, so have your questions ready to fire.

i also had a recent chance to work with Kurt from SOR, he saved me a few bucks in trying to replace a front hub for my FJ60. Talked me through the procedure and what i really needed not what I thought I needed. Save me at least 50% of what i was willing to spend.

A few things .....

In Ca, "trail outfitters" and "handymen extreme" are no longer in business. Really too bad, I considered both owners my friends and good mechanics.

Also, maybe we can add the mud user-Id to the shop info if they're on here, like myself.

North Denver Accessory Installation

I'm located in North Denver, I-25 and I-70, and I'm looking for a shop to install some rocksliders and a front bumper on my '03 4runner. Google hasn't been much help. Any suggestions?

Instead of having a shop set me up, I decided to install the rails and bumper myself.

Denver Spring & Suspension installed a lift I purchased from Toytec and I’m very pleased. They were professional, honest and went beyond what was expected.

Help: I found what sounds like a reasonable low mileage 96 80 series for sale in Connecticut and am trying to find a LC specialist to look at it for me. Seller seems reasonable and willing to take it to someone for an honest opinion/appraisal prior to me flying across the country to look at it or buy it. Anyone know a mechanic near Bridgeport Connecticut or anywhere near Harford or Bradley Int Airport?
Thanks
Rich

Cruiser mechanic in NY Tristate?

Thank you for this list.
I am a newby to the forum so apologies if this was discussed already at some point, but can anyone recommend a good mechanic for my FJ60 in NYC/Brooklyn or near by?

Thank you

Trawk

Could the entry for Rock Solid Offroad in San Jacinto CA be updated? The area code in the listing isn't correct, the correct area code is 951, not 909.

Eric is a fantastic Landcruiser mechanic and fellow enthusiast. Has a 55 Pig himself. I've had both my 80 series Cruises worked on, having him replace the crank bolt seal and oil pump cover seals in both trucks, and rebuilding the knuckles in my 96. Great work at very fair prices.

His username on the Mud forums is Satanoc Mechanic.

I would appreciate any recommendations for a Cruiser mechanic in the Southwest Florida region (e.g., Naples, Ft. Myers).

Thanks in advance.
