This is an ad/seller you should be looking for. Not saying you need to buy a bring a trailer rig (which i would recomment not to haha). But just try to find something that was owned by someone that enjoyed/loved the truck.

I agree with the comment things always cost more than expected. There's always something unexpected, unforeseen, or little bibs & bobs you didn't think of.

You think 6-7k in repairs? budget for 8-9. Especially if you're paying for shop time
Probably should budget also for all the parts that THINK will be needed but end up sitting on the garage shelf…..waiting……staring out with sad eyes wanting so desperately to be used.
 
Then add a factor for the stuff you don't expect, basically anything made of rubber. Decades and heat do a job on them. Gaskets, bushings, o-rings, seals. It's easy to do the common stuff, but forget about some of the less visible stuff. The more you fix, the more you discover. :)
