Wow, that sucks.
In the recovery training classes I've attended, when winching another vehicle, the instruction is winching vehicle in neutral, foot on brake
The Desert Does It seat jackers only raises the seat, it doesn't let it go any farther back. Helpful if you're short like me, but Landtank's solution is for tall peeps.
I have the seat jackers in both my 80 and 200.
I have a '94 and depo lights. It won't work without a minor trim of either the grille or the lights. I trimmed the grille mounts to fit around the depo lights. It's quick work with a dremel.
The company we use for our injectors started sending them back to us with green orings. After two sets we had leaked we switch everything back to Toyota orings and no leaks. We always use a little dielectric grease on them.
ouch!
As I understand it the front (high pinion) diff is relatively weak(er) when driving in reverse which should match how you loaded it up. I'd try to isolate the front diff with your tests to see if you can confirm that it is or isn't the...
I think the spindles will be the same. Both use the same wheel bearings. So you should be able to run 80 hubs.
Did you ask the seller? If they are aftermarket, are the using the same bearings?
The hubs and axles are different between 80 and...
There's no doubt that ten years ago I could man handle the Diffs, as a avid surfer/construction worker I was quiet strong. But I'm turning 65 this year and after a major surgery 11/2 years ago I never fully regained my strength 😩
I do pride...
you have it correct when opening the throttle the kickdown cable gets pulled. Youll see it as it sort of goes under as opposed to the throttle cable that goes over the top of the throttle pivot
@robnicko you rock. That was exactly the issue. Thank you so much. I owe you!
I had put the kickdown where the cruise control cable (long gone) used to go. Total rookie move on my part. Thanks to you, it is fixed. Took 3 minutes.
You're legend!
pls post some pics, it sounds like you may have one of the cables routed incorrectly
in the pic below from another thread the kickdown cable on the LHS is in the wrong spot which is opening the throttle.
The empty slot below is where the...
I just replaced my injectors and put everything back together.
It is running really well - better than ever - but something seems weird with the throttle (kick down) cable.
When the accelerator is released, the throttle cable keeps the throttle...
Hi there, long time lurker here (probably 10+ years if we're being honest) 🫣
Every issue I've ever had to research was so well documented already I never had a need to post, but I figured it was about time to have an account.
I have a 1997...
Yep, more than likely the o-ring. I'd be just replacing all of them - they are cheap. If you pinched one you may have pinched two. Step h) above is important. Also, careful screwing down of the bolts that hold the fuel rail in place and clamp...
The fsm instructions have an installation procedure that says something about being careful not to damage the o-ring. I suspect you'll fix it with new o-rings and careful installation. You could replace all the rubber bits on the injectors, but...
If you want to torque to a spec, why not just open the factory service manual (a.k.a. fsm) and look up the specs? It is posted here on mud, freely available and a good source of information from the manufacturer.
Good work! I'd ask the more experienced people here, but I personally wouldn't be concerned about those two gear oil weights being mixed and would just run with it until you need to service it next.
Put it on the 'mud classifieds with an honest description and tons of pictures, especially the rust free underside.
If it is mint, put it on BAT. Land Cruisers seem to sell for mad money on there.
I sold my TRD supercharged 80 on eBay years ago...
