Okay, so there are threads where people post up their Dune Beige (or pic your favorite color) rigs. But no threads with two-tone paint schemes on FJ40's. I realize this isn't common but still I'd like to see what the collective MUD family has to offer in terms of two-tone imagery. I expect @JohnnyC to participate in this thread... surely that amazing archive of his contains lots of two-tone goodness.

I'll start off...

For the curious, you can find some amazing pics on Instagram from "abo_naim12". Lots of cruiser porn.

I'm seriously considering copying the two-tone shown above when I repaint my rig.

These rigs are restored in Buraydah, Saudi Arabia to how they came off the boat. Pretty cool, can be had for 30k US so I was told.. Who knows what the total costs would be to get the damn thing here.

Tell us about those tyres. Dunlop Road Trak Major's. Can you get them over there still?

That is my understanding on these as well. Restored to "as delivered" condition ready for purchase. Believe it or not it's only few thousand USD to ship a car from this region to USA. Had a friend do it when he moved back home to the US from the UAE.

Must be able to get them around here somewhere. So many of the old 40-series coming out of Saudi have very skinny tires like these. Mine came with nice skinny tires, 7.5R16 to be exact. Problem is they are likely LT tires... hard as rock. I'll sniff around and see how easy they are to come by.

Bump for some two-tone 40 pics...

Cool, cheers!

Here's some from my 40-series photo collection. (Apologies to the photographers/owners because I never kept records of who they are.)

PS. Okay. Not all of these qualify as "two-tone" really. But you wouldn't believe how many photos I had to sift through just to get these

Really? I think it's kinda cool. I wouldn't run it myself, but it seems to fit Portugal.

I agree on the FJ Cruiser thing though. I wonder if he did that before or after the vehicle came out. If he did it beforehand, it's forgivable.

Good stuff... thanks for throwing pics in folks.

Yeah, the "FJ Cruiser" one is emblematic of how over-the-top some folks in this region go with their customizations.

The 45LV that JohnnyC posted looks gorgeous! I'm toying with doing the same general paint scheme with my 40... but use Seafoam Green as the base color instead of the blue.
