Matt, sorry to bug you again … mine must have gotten lost in the mix. Could you take a look, please?
Hey @coondawg!

Looks like your 40s birthday was most likely Monday, December 20th, 1971. Looks like you have a B-Day celebration coming soon!

Matt... your work is much appreciated! Happy Thanksgiving. Care to try "FJ40-222290" I think I need to organize a 50th birthday party sometime in April next year.

Thanks Much

Andy
Hey Andy,

Looks like your 40s B-day was most likely Monday, the 12th of April 1976 :)

This is a great thread! Thanks for taking the time to set this up. I have a July 1976, VIN FJ40-227940. I'll plan a party if you can tell me what day?
I think it came form Kansas City area and moved to Maine. Sat in someone's garage for 10+ years before I bought it in 2020. Daily driver in the non=salted road months since 2022.
i bought it disassembled. This is what it looked like when I got it home and "reassembled" it.

Checking back in on this one…..any luck in your research?

Based on the available information, the closest estimate I can provide is that it was assembled around August 1963. Although it was likely designated as a 1964 model, its most likely assembly took place in August of 1963.

Thanks for looking into it - much appreciated. One thing we can all agree on is that it’s an old one! And it’s a lot of fun on the restoration journey.

Interesting thread, how about 118801.
Thank you for your time.
Your 40 most likely rolled off the assembly line on Wednesday, December 22, 1971, and was probably titled as a 1972 model.

I had calculated March 30, 1966; oddly enough that is my X wife's birthday too. A wise man once said, "If it has tits or wheels it will give you trouble."
