Going to pick up a 1969 parts pig tomorrow. Seems everyone has at least two maybe three. Guess I’m in pretty deep by now . Glad I have a stash of Bobm’s parts. Somehow there will be a pig on the road in 2019. I see a set of barn doors in my future, not sure which pig will be the donor. As Bob says “ it’s only metal”.

Great day for a road trip! We went for a 7 hour round trip to get the 69. Will post up pics tomorrow as it was pretty dark when we got home. Almost like the old days pre stroke. First time using the 100 series as a tow vehicle. Empty trailer mpg was 14.25. Definite drop on loaded trailer, will fill up tomorrow. No title, so definitely a donor. Floors look better than Coyotes. Body swap maybe in the future.

A little pulled pork for your viewing pleasure. I remember trying to buy the tail gate from this rig a couple of years ago. Funny how things work out. It’s even the right color for this crowd.

Why are the sections removed from the quarters and tailgate?

Was that the beginning of a repair or did the PO need those sections for something else?

No idea why that was cut out. This was a parts rig of another mudder that sold all pig related stuff . I’v bought some of his restoration parts on eBay. Didn’t deal with him as I think this rig got passed to a friend. Had a really nice set of recovered seats that sold before I bought it. Scrapdaddy has the doors and steering column.

Lotsa good stuff on there still...

If I remember right, somebody on MUD needed those corners and a PO cut them out for him. It is a good solid body, glad you got it.

The trike was my first attempt at stick welding back in 1977. A bunch of old farm implement wheels and imagination. Was a mailbox holder for years. My oldest daughter used to sit on it waiting for the school bus.

So ? where do you think you will find Barn doors ? I have not seen any 55 in America with barn doors yet , If you find them can we do a group buy ? Also with a 12 valve Cummins ,That will be a sweet rig !

Thinking of building my own version of barn doors. Wife’s stroke has given me 9 months of down/thinking time. It probably will happen, just not sure how soon. A lot of dreaming at this point.

Looks like a solid rig. Nice color too.
