My first post here and let me say CONGRATS on the find that thing is sweeeeet.

I cant wait to hear its running again.

Great find congrats! And awesome save from the goats, very destructive creatures.

Went and got the Toygoata today from the in-laws. Meant to get a pic when I had the winch line and snatch block hooked up (yep I said snatch). Pulled it up on the trailer and headed down the road.

Wifey did an awesome job of hauling it to the house.

Now I can work on it without having to drive 10 miles. Finished up the water pump/thermostat install. Will begin to attack the million little items as I have time.

Nice timing on the weather here in Oklahoma to start working on it!

Pulled the valve cover to check things out. Runs with the choke pulled.

Does this oil flow look adequate? It seems to be lubricating every thing pretty well. I know it is nasty stuff, will change it later in the week.

Only a Landcruiser!
Or should we call it a Lamb-Cruiser?:D
The Goat-mobile?

This guy has the same look as my "former" mechanic.

...and probably a higher IQ!:D

Decided to clean the Goata today. Don't want the neighbors to complain about an eyesore. A container of rubbing compound and some Turtle Wax and it looks a little better.

I have got to rip those fog lights off.

Water pump is installed. Time to work on the carb, emission system, clutch, wiring, find some tires,.......etc........etc........

Wow the paint has life, not perfect but darn good given the security detail that's been using it for a lookout! This thing is becoming a bigger heist by the day.

I am 17 and just got into fixing up cars by myself and i heard it was tough to work on carbs. How hard is it actually? Do you just need to know what you are doing or...?

Just like everything else in life, it is best to know what you are doing. I have a guy at work that is willing to take on the carb work for me.

that toygoata is one sweet score, i have not seen a stock body look that nice in years.

i guess goat crap is pretty good paint preservative.

Any evidence that the truck was repainted along the way? I'm surprised at how nice the rear quarters are - no evidence of rust, and you can't even see the spot welds.

I agree with the other post - goat cruiser looks better and better by the day....
